Just back from a visit to Yeo Valley Organic Garden. A very interesting garden with some highly original planting and ironwork - gates, etc. The garden is divided up into different area with beech hedges so there are lots of lovely surprises when you come to a new section including beautiful plant combinations and a lovely Jackmontii grove underplanted with ferns also a very decorative vegetable garden.
The restaurant has a help yourself buffet for lunch and so much clotted cream with the scones we couldn't fit it all on. Even the loo was good with lots of gardening articles on the walls and even the ceilings!
Lovely views from the garden and restaurant of the surrounding hills and Blagdon reservoir.
A really good gardener's day out.
