Unfortunately I spent just one night in this beautiful place, but surely I'll come back soon. It's and old building (manor), adapted for hotel. I been there during a business trip, I was looking a good place for rest and close to my customers: this is what I needed.

The castle was restored a number of years ago and they have truly turned it into a paradise. Every aspect of the place is a thing of perfection, it is inspiring! They have recently added a new beauty / fitness centre and rooms structure next to the main castle. I have to say, I am extremely impressed with the fact that the style of the new structure is in keeping with the original style and it only increases the beauty of the location.

I spoke to a number of locals and this is one of the most popular locations in the entire region. Everyone has been to some form of celebration here; mainly weddings. The prices are high compared to all other places in the area, but that's to be expected with a place of this quality.

I wouldn't recommend the castle for families with young children who want to have lots of activities and exciting things in the area. The castle is ideal for couples looking for a romantic location or large groups looking for a lovely place to celebrate an event.

The castle is a true gem in the beautiful green Abruzzo.

Room Tip: The suites are nice but they are in the extension and not the main castle. If you would like a turr...

Abruzzi is the best kept secret in Italy...undiscovered, with scenic lush vineyards and fabulous Adriatic vistas. Amazing! This exquisitely restored castle is an beautiful retreat for anyone wanting to get away from the crowds and restore their health. We were treated like royalty by the owner and their staff as we went for an afternoon repast on one of our leisurely travel days...Marcelo, the waiter with a professional, quiet but knowledgeable manner, attended to us like we've never seen before. Custom menu items were created just for us, the service was impeccable and the ambience was unforgettable. We long for the day when we can return to stay there for a period and take in this lovely, historic region full of tremendous wines, unheard of in Canada the USA. I almost hate to share this gem, but hope that those who seek out the very best will venture to this unque setting... It is not for everyone, but if you looking for fine food, professional & quiet service, elegant surroundings and the ultimate setting in a remote part of Italy, then you may want to check this Hotel/Restaurant out. I assure that you won't be disappointed. Ciao!

This 17th century castle restored several years ago is right off the A-14 highway.
This is my 6th time staying there and the property is splendid. They do have lots of weddings but it's outside and does not interfere with your stay. Great grounds surrounded by vineyards and great views and hardly any buildings around with the exception of few local farm houses.
Great swimming pool. Definitely a great place to spend a couple of days since its close to Pescara, Chieti, Casoli and Guardagrele all have great restaurants offering top quality dining.
I'm going back next year again.

Room Tip: 3rd floor with small balcony for great views

Just spent 4 nights at the Castello in connection with a wedding, and very much enjoyed it. There were four of us (2 adults, 2 kids) and the suites were booked, so we took 2 rooms in the main part of the hotel, on the top floor. Definitely try and book the top (3rd) floor, as those rooms all have french doors that open onto balconies, offering lovely views and a nice breeze. Rooms, furniture and bathrooms are all very new and very modern. They are also in the middle of constructing new rooms in an outbuilding next to the pool, which look like they will all be much larger than the castle rooms, possibly additional suites, which look like they'll be finished in the spring of 2012. We were there in October, after the pool had closed, but this would be a lovely getaway during the summer, as the pool and gardens are beautiful and peaceful, and offer amazing views of the surrounding area, vineyards and olive groves. Food in the restaurant was lovely - a very nice breakfast (including American breakfast - scrambled eggs and such), and dinner was excellent as well, and very reasonably priced. Excellent maid service kept everything spotless.

Room Tip: Corner rooms are a bit larger, 2 of the corners on the 2nd floor are "turret rooms" and co...

My second stay here, and even better than the first one. Prompt and courteous service, good rooms (for Europe) and fantastic views, surrounded by mountains and olive groves. Food at restaurant is typically Italian and briliant. We were there for business but would be a perfect getaway for a couple etc.

Stunning fully modernised castle in the countryside not far from the beach.
Very quite and reasonable. Only 60 euros a night or 120 for a suite.
Used mainly for weddings and functions but rooms are are very good and easily a 4 star if not a 5.
Most of the food are fish dishes and from the local fishing ports so fresh and beautiful.
Perfect as a stop over if you were touring by car.
