Myself and some friends were traveling from Westport to Dundalk via Tarmonbarry on the 1st of June. We stopped here for some lunch and it was nice and the service good. They offerd a varied menu and also a lovely sandwich menu and specials.

On returning from Dundalk on Monday we stopped again. We decided to order some sandwiches, chips etc only to be informed they only did one on a bank holiday monday as they were so busy. The place was no busier than on Saturday. I opted to have a Ham,cheese, tomato toastie minus the tomato. The waitress said she couldn't take out the tomato as the 'mix' had been made yesterday and was finely diced. She then proceeded to tell me to just pick out the tomato! I feel one shouldn't have to 'pick' anything out for 6.95. She never at any point inquired was there a dietary reason for me not eating tomato, which there is. I decided to order the soup. My friends had the sandwich and were less than impressed. It was far from fresh and not up to the standards we had experienced on the saturday. We are not fussy people, but all of us work in this area and we wouldn't have a) dealt with a customer in this manner and b) served day old sandwiches and passed them off as fresh.

V. disappointed and we won't be back.
