Owner description: The Caboolture Historical Village is situated on 4 hectares (about 12 acres) of land just north of Caboolture town centre on the old Bruce Highway. It is listed as the Number One Tourist destination in the region. The dream of preserving our local heritage started with the formation of the Caboolture Historical Society in 1959. The first building arrived 20 years later when the old Caboolture Shire Council Chambers was moved to the site. Since that time with the contribution of many volunteers and supporters, the Village has grown to be the popular destination for tourists and locals to explore the local history.

Large site ,on the outskirts of Caboolture. There are many historical buildings on site with lots of historical items displayed in and around the buildings. There are demonstrations and renactments when large groups have booked as it is manned by volunteers. There is a mini train ride,(extra charge).blacksmith shop, vehicle restoration , steam machinery, army & navy display. Cabooltures first hospital is on site with a large display inside also a large gem display and workshop. great for school groups.

Go to the Historical Village at least twice a year it's so good. Also a strong personal connection with my Great Grand Parents house being donated and on display here (childhood memories).

This village also hosts an annual event with live displays of steam engines, vintage cars and tractors!

Everyone will love this place - young and old!! Well worth the 50km drive from Brisbane for a great relaxed day out!

They've done a terrific job with laying out the historical village and there is a lot to see including historical buildings, farming and army memorabilia from years gone by. Had a very enjoyable afternoon at the village and would highly recommend it.

we visited this historical village and it was absolutely awesome, a big collection of historic buildings arranged into a village, from station with a real train going around, to hosptal, bank, postoffice, petrolstation, blacksmith, dairy factory, printing factory, a huge collection of historic farming and timber getting machines and vehicles, sawmill, bakery and even a historic original city council.
everything well arranged ant at the factories are retired craftsmen volunteering to run the machines and explain patiently.
It really feels like the people here moved out yesterday, very much lively feeling.
