Owner description: Mauritius is more than an island of white sandy beaches surrounded by turquoise water. It has a rich and breathtaking marine fauna and flora. Our goal is to unveil you the secrets of this colorful island and to help you realizing your dreams. Swimming with dolphins: a dream of many people. Dolswim gives you the opportunity to swim with these magnificent creatures in their natural environment. Our professional team will take you every morning to an unforgettable dolphin encounter. You will even have the opportunity to swim with them. Of course we will give you some regulations to respect these marine mammals and their environment. A second excursion: whale wathching: sperm whales, pilot whales, humpback whales ... some species you can see during our excursion. And top of the cake: don't miss our Blue Quest excursion. On board of a large boat you will discover the marine fauna of our island. Different types of dolphins, whales, pailles en queue, the typical birds of Mauritius, sea turtles, flying fishes and don't forget the beautiful coral reef ... our crew will try to show you as many marine mamals and other as possible and explain you everything about the rich marine fauna. A breakfast, fresh snacks and a delicious BBQ will make your day unforgettable. If you prefer a relaxing day, we propose, after swimming with the dolphins, a BBQ and a farniente on Benitier Island. And for the fans of fishing, we organize Big Game fishing outings, shared or in exclusivity: dorado, marlin, ... wishing you a good outing!

I was attracted to Dolswim because of the programs offered and the reviews. We booked and were not disappointed. It's not a cheap tour but you will get value for money.

We booked the 'swimming with dolphins' tour. Program details were clear.

The meet-up location is hard to find. It's a tiny street somewhere in a small waterfront village. We looked it up on Google maps the night before and wrote down a detailed description. This helped us to find the place in time.

The boat we were assigned was a great and comfortable speed boat. Briefing was very clear and detailed. I like especially the attention and respect they have towards the dolphins and whales. Also they are very considerate for special needs that clients might have. Appreciated.

First we encountered a number of whales, while looking for dolphins. Finally we found a large school of dolphins, about 150, a bit far off. So we swam with the dolphins. Basically snorkeling in the ocean in front of a group of dolphins just before these will catch up. When the dolphins catch up they will pass you left, right, under, possibly even above :-) It's really a great fantastic experience seeing all these dolphins around you, so close in the water. REALLY great! :-)

One of the people of Dolswim on the boat is the guide and will join you in the water (always two clients and one guide).

We (2) were the only people on the boat able to swim. Meaning that we got to swim with dolphins several times :-)

But in my opinion, if you can't swim, this tour is much less enjoyable. Even you can still see the dolphins (and whales) from the boat... the BIG fun is to be IN the water.. swimming with the dolphins.

The family and I took a morning excursion. It started well with coffee and biscuits. We then proceeded to the boat. The captain, Angelo could not do enough for all the guests. He let our boy sit in the captain's chair and was very helpful with our young children in the water. We swam looking down on a pod in crystal clear waters. He then took us snorkeling. I tested to see if he really could make us a coffee on board and he did !! Then back to the office where they had a shower. Lovely experience.

We booked this trip for our anniversary and we're not disappointed. We left in the boat about 7.30am and we're given information about the type of dolphins we may see spinners and bottle nose and the safety of the boat. The guides were very informative and experienced. We spent time taking photos and observing the dolphins before snorkeling with them. What an amazing experience it was. You would send them swimming near the surface but while snorkeling you would see about 10-20 underneath you. They swam quite close but obviously as they are wild dolphins you were unable to touch them. It was fantastic swimming with them in their natural habitat and all in all an amazing trip to take. On our way ba k to the shore we had some time to do some snorkelling which again was a great experience. I would highly recommend this trip as it is amazing to swim with dolphins in their natural environment. The crew were helpful, kind, friendly and very professional.

Omg where do we start. Having been told by the local people on our resort that there was not a chance of us seeing any whales, we then arrived at dolswim to be told that there is about a 60% chance of seeing the sperm whales at this time of the year. So our hopes and expectations were very low!! We were told by our guide that he would take us about half and hour out into the ocean to look for them. On the way out we could see into the distance a whale shooting water into the air then taking a dive down into the deep, we thought that was it but were amazed anyway!!! James and Julian (our 2 amazing guides) went out a little further to see of we could find some more, to our total amazement 2 further whales came to the surface and swan along the side of the boat with us for around 10 before going under our boat. After that we must have seen around 30 or more swimming around, no doubt this was an extremely lucky experience for us. Our guides were amazing and made sure that we got the best views. We even had a baby whale play with the boat allowing the guide to splash water onto it! Definitely worth a visit, but am sure that it isn't always the case to be as lucky as we were. Both my children 6 & 9 year olds loved the experience, something to remember forever. This is my first ever trip adviser review but felt that it was well worth telling!!!
