We are marriott owners and our previous visit in August 2012 we had a lot of problems. However we returned
in July and were very impressed. The outdoor areas are so much cleaner and the landscaping has improved. We were told a whole new maintenance team has been employed and it shows!!
Check in was quick and the staff excellent. Special mention to Sophie in the concierge team. She was part of the reception team when we were previously there and remembered us. We had a few phone calls to make sure everything was ok, which was great customer service. Our villa had great air conditioning, which we had issues with before.Another great improvement
The outdoor pool is now heated (27c), that was not the case in 2012. The pool area is so much nicer with plenty of umbrellas, beds and four posters which are so comfy. We had lovely weather and this was an added bonus when we came back from Disneyland park. as the pool opens until 10pm.
There was also more activities for children, with more organised events. It was Bastille Day when we were at resort and the team did a treasure hunt and a french evening with food and drinks.
We had 5 days but could have stayed longer. There was a lot going on, with cookery lessons, pool areobics and a variety of activities to suit everyone.
We used the number 34 bus which stops at gates of resort to disneyland and runs approx every 20 mins. The public bus do not charge for children, the Marriott shuttle bus does charge and it is 4.50 euro return to Disneyland.
They play areas have also got cleaner and there a few new additions and bbq grills scattered round the resort.
All in all a lovely relaxing stay with definate improvements and we will return.

Stayed here for 4 nights to access Disney and Paris. Chose the townhouse as liked the idea of separate bedrooms and not all in one room like the Disney hotels. It was definitely an excellent choice although be aware that if you take a taxi from the airport you are looking at 85 euros there and 100 euros back. We had a town house overlooking the lake and close to reception. The facilities in the house were second to none and everything was provided down to kitchen roll and washing up liquid!!!

We arrived at 10am and after reading other reviews expected to have to hang around until 4pm but no - our house was ready and we went straight there allowing us to enjoy a full day. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

We used the shuttle bus which was very punctual and easy to book. Yes it's 4.5 euros each but worth it for the ease of access to Disney and the station without having to worry about parking.

The local village has a fantastic cheap supermarket and the Indian is reasonably priced with good food. We ate once at the resort which was quite expensive as others have said. Same with the shop on site but fresh croissants every morning were delicious.

Outdoor pool was great, indoor a little small and cramped so hard to actually swim.

I would definitely recommend this resort for people that want to visit Disney without being in a Disney hotel.

Room Tip: Room 4403 near reception and overlooking the lake was perfect location

This resort is fantastic. We stayed here twice in 2 weeks. The first time was in a 2 bedroom townhouse and the second we had to book a 3 bedroom as there were no 2 beds left. Both stays were booked on Marriott Reward Points and it was an excellent use of our points.

The resort is very secure with security at the main entrance. The layout is like a small village/housing development with well looked after grounds and pleased “street” with houses.

After driving down from Edinburgh we arrived rather late but check-in was quick and we went to our townhouse. We were delighted when we entered as it was very well furnished and had excellent facilities and rooms. It really is a home away from home.

As it was late we dined in the Clubhouse. This is the only thing that lets the resort down. Service was painfully slow and I keep going indoors to get the waitress to serve us and take our orders. We ordered pizza and it was certainly not the best I had ever tasted. The base was poor and tasted like it was pre-made although I was told they are fresh.

After a very comfortable night’s sleep we awoke to terrible weather (it had been forecast) so our hopes of a day by the pool evaporated and we took the shuttle bus to Marne la Vallee station and the RER in to Paris. After a day getting soaked we headed back to the Resort and as we had eaten in Paris went straight to our townhouse.

The following day we packed up and headed for our next stop in the Dordoyne Valley.

After 2 weeks in the Dordoyne we arrived back in the resort for another 3 nights, this time incorporating 2 days in Disney. When we arrived the weather was much better and we made great use of the pool. Despite the sun shining the pool bar was closed so the only option was to go indoors to the Clubhouse Bar. This was a pain as it meant having to cover-up and out on footwear.

After our experience the first time we decided to dine in our townhouse. Luckily we had a lot of food with us from our trip to the Dordoyne and the fully equipped kitchen made it very easy. There is an on-site shop but it is very expensive compared to the local Carrefour Market which was 2 mins drive/10 minutes walk away. As an example, in the resort shop a pack of 4 burger rolls were E3.60. In the Carrefour packs of 6 were E1.20.

Overall this is a superb resort. The townhouses are fantastic and very spacious. The only let downs are the Clubhouse restaurant, the lack of a pool bar and the prices in the shop.

We probably would stay here again if we were planning a longer stay. It worked for us this time as we were bookending our trip to the Dordoyne and had all the food essentials with us. However, if we were returning to Disney for a couple of days we’d probably stay in a Disney hotel as the benefits of self catering would be lost.

We visited this hotel in July 2014 with the intention of visiting Disneyland Paris and doing a few day trips to Paris by train. I travelled with a toddler, teenager, and seniors. We all enjoyed the hotel so much, we didn't really want to leave the property much.

The property:
The outdoor pool is big with lots of seating around. Both pools are heated to a very comfortable temperature. They have multiple playgrounds throughout the property. There is ping pong, soccer, basketball, movie theater, kids club ( 4-12 I think) and various other activities. There is also a small grocery store on the property where you can buy fresh bread and lots of other items. The property is in walking distance to a small town where you can eat out and buy groceries. Driving the Disneyland Paris takes about 10 minutes and the train to paris takes about 50 minutes. There is also a huge mall about 10 minutes away called Val d' Europe with outlet stores and restaurants. Staff speak English very well and was extremely helpful with any questions I had.

The room:
The room we stayed in was 2 stories and had 2 roomy bedrooms upstairs. On was a master bedroom with King and en suite. The other bedroom had 2 twin beds. There was an additional bathroom with toilet upstairs. There was a play n play in the closet for use for younger children. Downstairs had a living room, dining area, kitchen, and small trash/laundry closet. Outside of our town home was a cozy patio with table and chairs. Nearby was a playground and BBQ with picnic table.

This place had most of the comforts of home, making it a very enjoyable stay. I will definitely return.

Try to ask for villas with lake view (series 4000)
Don't buy from the on-site market place, instead go for the Carrefour which is 5 min walk
Book the bicycle when you check in,they tend to rent quickly
If u r more than 4, take a taxi to Disney , when returning from Disney don't wait for the last shuttle it gets crowded and u will not find a place.

This place is amazing, we stayed here for 3 nights in Sep 2013, in a two bedroom townhouse, it was very very clean, all the little touches they add into their rooms really is beautiful. It is also very close to Disneyland (which is why we picked here) will definitely be back again! Have stayed in other hotel nearby but this is the best place to stay if visiting Disney or just visiting the nearby place in general, you'll definitely not find better....

Room Tip: The town houses near the lake are amazing we woke up to swans sitting out on the grass

I stayed here at the end of April (I can't believe it took me so long to write this review!) We stayed a few nights in Normandy first, then used our week at the Marriott as our home base to explore Paris plus visit Versailles and the Chambord Chateau. A car is beneficial if you want to visit other places, but if you are just going to Disney and/or Paris, you can get by without a car. There is a grocery store right down the road with a few restaurants, and it's easy to get there by car or bus (maybe two bus stops away? It's very close). Since the villas have kitchens, it's nice to have a place so close to go stock up on water, soda, wine, snacks, and even meals if y ou don't want to shop at the Marriott Marketplace. That said, the Marriott Marketplace prices aren't outlandish and they have a pretty good selection of items. A bus stop to leave the resort is right outside the grounds, and you can take it right to the train station (which is outside Disneyland Paris). Then you take one train into the city, and about 45 minutes later you are in Paris! It's very simple. I recommend getting the multi-day ticket that allows you access to the bus and train in Bailly Romainvilliers and Paris if you are going to be moving about a lot. It's well worth the money. The resort itself is very nice and our two bedroom villa was clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly. And because of course you measure how good a hotel restaurant is by its burger, I can tell you the burger was delicious. Who would have thought to put brie on a burger? :) We only went to Disneyland for one day (Sunday, because most places are closed on Sundays anyway!), so I would say it's still worth it to stay here if you don't plan to go to Disney every day! The 45 minute train into the city really isn't so bad. I would definitely return to this Marriott and recommend it to others.
