Pulling down the dirt road, past acres and acres of olive trees to get to the B&B building, you know this is going to be something special. And it is.
The building that houses the guest rooms is a separate, fairly newly constructed building and great care has been taken to make it feel like home (and the owners, likewise, made us feel right at home). There is a large common area downstairs, complete with a lovely outside patio, and a comfortable breakfast area. Our room was large and had a gorgeous view of the surrounding lush, green countryside dotted with olive tree groves. Everything (furniture, fixtures, etc.) felt and looked new, it was beautifully decorated, and the room was exceptionally clean. We slept like rocks in this room because it was so quiet, dark, and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was larger than normal and came with a nice assortment of toiletries. Just outside our room was the access door to a large second floor terrace, which was great to spend time on to take in the scenery.
The pool area is likewise gorgeous and relaxing, as are the surrounding grounds and gardens. The pictures I've seen online from the B&B's own website and other sources give a very accurate depiction of what you will see and experience.
Now, a couple things: first, this is a rurally located B&B. This means it is quiet, serene, tranquil, and you will feel completely relaxed here. Parking is not a problem, and breakfast is superb, much of which is homemade using home-grown produce and freshly made baked goods. However, being rural means you will need to drive off the premises for dinner, so keep that in mind. We ate one meal in nearby Ribera (about 20 minute drive) and one in Caltabellotta, which is located about a 25 minute drive up a steep, winding hill. For us, it was totally worth the trade-off to stay here.
Secondly, we didn't study the map well enough before we set off to find the B&B, nor did our Garmin GPS support the coordinate's number format given by the B&B's website. The owner came to our rescue right away, but if need be, here are the coordinates we later found our Garmin would accept: N37 31.701, E013 14.724.
We would stay here again in a heartbeat and have no hesitation recommending it.
