“Best value meal of the week”
Reviewed 8 October 2012

Stumbled upon this restaurant while exploring Minerve. A lovely terrace location but being late in the season the only vacant tables were in the shade however the waitress agreed we could move to a sunny one when it was ready. She was single handed and busy and it did take a while to get moved. 2 choices on the Plat du Jour menu but the lamb option (which we were all going to order) was finished so we had the pork. I really enjoyed my meal which was accompanied by salad and 3 different vegetable sort of souffles - unusual and yummy! 14 Euros for 2 courses excluding drinks.
Scenic view from some tables but not all.

“Nice setting, horrible food”
Reviewed 17 August 2012

Restaurant looked promissing with a nice outdoor patio however the food was barely edible.

Pizza were cold, wine by the glass straight out of a box (they havé supposidely their own winerie), even my 15 months old son wouldn't eat his fries (which sums it all).

Waiting staff was pretty nice though.

To summarize to be avoided while in Minerve

“A must try....”
Reviewed 31 July 2012 via mobile

The lovely courtyard overlooking the bridge is a welcome break from the walking and sunshine. Food was excellent as was the service. Lunch for 4 including deserts and wine was less than 90 euros. Would have no hesitation in recommending this little gem.

“Stunning location and great wines, but sadly, mediocre service and high prices.”
Reviewed 28 April 2011

We arrived for lunch without a reservation recently, and couldn't get a table as there were few other restaurants open in Minerve. We asked for a table and were told to wait, and then watched twice as other parties of a similar size who arrived later were seated. The food was better than average but definitely not exceptional, though the food prices were high (though the wine was reasonable). We were all offered one choice for lunch only, as we arrived fairly late for lunch (about 1:15, seated at 1:30) and were told nothing else was available. Meanwhile we watched other tables get served numerous dishes (including desserts, which would not have already been selected) that we were not offered, long after we arrived. The view is stunning, and the wait staff, when they were available, were nice enough. Overall though, there are better options available in the Languedoc.

“Pleasant surprise”
Reviewed 10 July 2010

Went by a couple of other places while strolling around Minerve, then found this restaurant almost under the bridge. It had a pleasant vine- and canopy-covered terrace and a nice view, so we tried it out and were glad we did. The service was friendly and prompt and the food very good in a nice setting away from the tourists. Can't recall what we paid, but it wasn't a lot for a glass of good Menervois wine each and a plat du jour. We were happy to have found it.
