A cozy "Italian" restaurant with pasta and pizza. Great location and you are actually sitting on the pier outsider with a nice view over the small harbor. The restaurant also have some other good food options on the menu if Italian isnt your way. I rate Nino's with 5 stars because the location, staff and food was perfect. I have been ALOT in Italy on vecation and I know my pizza and this pizza was just like a genuine Italian pizza as i love so mutch. The staff was alright.. Nothing more, nothing less.. Not to expencive and we will be back, for sure..
Nice place to enjoy the views of the harbor and ambience of this small and charming maritime town. We sat in the covered terrace and although it was a little chilly, there were some nice blankets, which we could wrap around us. This is a great place to chill out, have a few drinks and a bite.
Being parents to a new born, we don't have the leisure to go out for dinner, so knowing that Nino's offered takeaway we decided to take a stroll to the city center and take some good food back to our home.
I waited at the bar until a waiter appeared. I told her that I wanted to order some takeaway and I were about to continue with my order but was interrupted by the waiter saying that it "could take a while". I asked how long that might be. She then looked around and got eye contact with a chef that had just passed by the bar. The chefs face expression weren't hard to read. He apparently didn't want her to take my order. The waiter then looked at me and gave me the message that they couldn't my takeaway order!
I must say I was I little baffled. The restaurant advertises with having takeaway without mentioning any limitations, there where free tables so apparently capacity couldn't be the issue. No explanation where given so I can only guess why the restaurant wouldn't take our money.
We left with a bitter taste in our mouths.
Luckily for us there are other great restaurants with much better service in Lillesand. We ended up going to "Restaurant Sjøbua". Although they did not offer takeaway, we got great service with advice to where we could get food to go, so that our evening wouldn't get ruined by the bad experience at Nino's.
This restaurant is located on the waterfront of the Lillesand harbor. Great location, nice menu and the food is good. However, service needs improvement. Shouldn’t have to wait to order more food or drinks. Nice with blankets on chairs for Norwegian “summer”.
