The food was nice ,but we thought they would of cooked homemade chips instead of frozen ones.

We've visited twice now and both times had a warm welcome and a lovely family lunch. The children had the Kid's Fish and Chips - very tasty and generous portions. I had the Steak and Ale Pie and I have to say it's best pie I think i have ever eaten. Gernerously portioned, freshly cooked and accompanied by delicious horseradish mash. My wife had the mushroom burger which she also enjoyed. Desserts were excellent too and the final bill was very reasonable. This is a home banker for future trips to North Devon.

Had a meal here with a large party. The staff coped pretty well with the orders and were very attentive.
Food portions were, if anything, over generous - it can be quite intimidating to be faced with a huge plateful, but it was well presented and enjoyable. The real ale served at the bar was particularly good.

We've visited the Muddiford twice during our week's stay in Devon. On both occasions the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food is fantastic and portions are very generous too. Excellent value and well worth a visit. I can recommend their 'infamous' steak pie!

We will be back!
