We chose this hotel for a mid September holiday for 9 days. Our plan was to miss the school holidays and hordes of children but clearly others who had young families also had the same idea so the place was full of toddlers and babies. Generally this was not an issue and the pool area seemed very quiet most days as people headed to the lovely beach. The pool area is very nice however and well provided with sun beds and a snack bar.
Entertainment in the evenings was ok although not well attended and the animation crew worked hard.
The area of Playa de Muro is quiet. Local restaurants were plentiful and reasonably priced. Local supermarkets provided the basics although not so cheap, especially instant coffee and tea. If you want real coffee take your own filter bags as we could not find any.
The place felt professionally run and was very clean and modern. We went room only and felt that the provision for self catering was not great, but we managed.
The only gripe..... people dragging furniture around in other appartments. It would make such a difference to have some felt or similar on the bottom of the legs of. chairs and tables so they do not make so much noise early in the morning and late at night. A cheap answer.
We would go back and would recommend the hotel.

Room Tip: If possible a top floor room so no one is above you. Overlooking the pool is lovely in the evening d...

Great fun. They team let the children join in with the evening entertainment. They participated in the Peter Pan show.

The pool was excellent. Suitable for all ages and abilities.

The food was varied, tasty and plentiful.

Hotel and room was well maintained, particularly given our stay was end of season.

Stayed: October 2013

We had a lovely stay at the Prinsotel. We booked the apartment select deluxe, which included a private roof terrace with a mini swimming pool. It was a bit of an extravagance, but very luxurious and relaxing to have our own little pool to go to. There was also kitchenette, which was handy for storing and preparing snacks and drinks.

The swimming pools were good with lots of levels. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the absolutely lovely Alcudia beach. The sand slopes very gently for a long way and so is very kid friendly.

The evening ents for the kids were good. The kids club staff hosted a mini disco in the stage area in the bar. We could sit in the audience seats and have a drink while watching the children have fun. After the mini disco there was a show each night. The soul/flamenco group and Chinese acrobats stand out in my memory!

The food in the buffet restaurant was excellent. Always a big variety and three three or four stations where fish, meat and pasta were being freshly prepared, plus salads, appetisers, etc. Everything was very fresh and carefully thought out. Plus an ice cream section, which went down will with the children.

Nitpicky stuff - small things, but I am very picky!

The kids club was a bit haphazard. Sometimes hardly any kids were there and it wasn't necessary to sign your child in/out, giving the impression that they might just be able to wander off. As much as we enjoy our kids' company, we were hoping for an hour or two to ourselves, which never happened.

Our late arrival wasn't as smooth as it could have been. The air con only works if the doors are all closed and it is switched to setting '1'. There is nothing to tell you this and it's a hassle to work it out after a hot & late journey. We had booked 'champagne' for our arrival. Unfortunately it never appeared and although the staff were apologetic it was not available that evening and became time consuming to get a refund.

It was often unclear how things worked. It was necessary to ask someone for the information although it would be easier to have written details. One example was which drinks are included with the 'dinner& drinks' option. We saw one guest complaining about having to pay for a more expensive bottle of wine after they didn't realize it wasn't included. Fortunately for us we had asked in advance. Another example was how the table reservation system works. It was great once we'd found out, but we missed out on it for the first half of the week.

Finally, if you use the hotel's internet booking site it is worth noting an oddity. When you select a posher room, eg, the apartment select, then as well as paying more for the room you pay more for any board option. One example, drinks with dinner is €10 for a normal apartment but €14 for exactly the same option if you book the select. The figures change depending on the date, but just look out for this. You can purchase meal tickets when you arrive, which probably works out cheaper if you get a more expensive room.

In summary: a few niggles, but it's a great hotel and we would like to go back.

Stayed there for a 'lazy' week of autumn sun and the hotel is very nice!

Advantages:

Outside the main road, you get a lot of restaurant, shops & rentals along the side of the road which gives you the opportunity to find which one is suitable for you (e.g. rentals).
5 mins walk to the beach (A beautiful beach - sometimes it can be rough waves or quiet waves or flat sea)
The hotel, bed & sofa bed - so so comfortable! The bathroom is clean and huge which is a very impressive hotel also they provide little things like toothbrush, sewing kits & etc!

Disadvantages:
Beach -There are some jellyfishes out there so you need to watch out, keep away from the port area - as they are more likely to get jellyfishes around.

Mosquitoes, watch out. Buy a sun cream from Boots with mosquitos repellent - i believe this will prevent you getting bites and our bites came up in beg red welts when we wore no prevention of the mosquitoes.

Wouldnt mind returining to this hotel but mositquoes - i am not sure! :(

Again, beautiful environment!

:)

Room Tip: Top floor gives you the best view!

Stayed four days in early October. We had chosen this hotel for the pool area and proximity to the beach and were not disappointed. Daily routine of relaxing in the sun and lots of swimming for the kids. Pool bar for easy lunch and drinks with friendly waiters.

The beach is across the street and goes on forever. The streets are lined with shops selling tourist stuff. Area seems tranquil with no noisy crowds.

Breakfast and dinner buffet good and abundant. Great variety and choices for children too. Buffet room need more staff to clear and set tables.

Hotel room with kitchenette and separate bedroom. Small balcony. Room clean and well kept. There was a (locked) interconnecting door to the next room that let through some noise.

I can absolutely recommend this hotel for care-free family vacation. The hotel is nice and welcoming with helpful staff. Price was very reasonable. We booked through the hotel chain website.

Everything about this apart-hotel is as good as it claims to be. Staff very helpful and make everything clear on your arrival. Apartment fitted out well with a balcony overlooking a nature reserve. 3 outdoor and one indoor pool with a great sauna facility (10 euros but worth it)
No shortage of comfortable sunbeds. They proudly show their Trip advisor 2013 award at their reception - Well deserved!!

Room Tip: we had floor 3 on Number one building. No problems and a good view from the balcony
