the food is the worst we have ever had taste wise .even though a big choice but most of it is aufull even the chips .dont know how you can go wrong with chips but they do .the entertainment aera is a good size but .the entertainment is verey hit and miss same as most hotels .seems ok for the children .you cant fault the drinks help your self .other than shorts .but the shorts are great ,no waiting and verey good measures.the rooms are ok plenty of room .apart from the balcany .you can not see over the wall around the balcany unless you stand up.only enough room for 2 if you aint verey big .if there is 3 of you tough.if the gate at the end of the pool was open would be great right next to the local shops .but it was always locked .so it is a long way to get to the shops .all the reception staf verey helpfull.my wife was taken to hospital in inca for 7 days .and the manageress couldnt have helped me anymore. must say we would never go again because of the food .never been allinclusive and came home weighing less than when i went .the hotel is not verey good for older english people .not many english stay at this hotel .after all this the hotel is ok but we will never go again

Room Tip: to get the sun in the after noon sak for a room looking over the street NOT the pool side.as NO sun...

Visited 5_12 Oct Hotel is one of the oldest in the area but in a good position 5 minutes from
Shops and beach. Yes there are stains on the carpet but what do you expect with children runing
around spilling drinks everywhere and suitcases being dragged along As in previous comments
the rooms are big with lots of storage the only time we knew somebody was in the rooms
either side was if they were talking on balcony or had dropped something on the tiled floor
Don't put kettles or hairdryers in your case you can hire for 10 euros a week which you get back
when you hand back in the same goes for the tv remote. Drinks are self serve apart from shorts
which are triples and are served in plastic glasses therefore no need for extra staff to wash pots
Good choice of food at every meal we are fussy but had no problem Lots of sunbeds and chairs
by the 2 pools which are cleaned daily and have lifeguard Staff very friendly and all speak
English. Rooms cleaned every day. Even the tops of the picture frames were clear of dust towels
changed daily and the beddiing was changed once during our 7 day stay The 2 lifts are typical of old hotels but had no problem and we were on the 5th floor the hotel does get more Spanish and German staying there but it caters for all.
evening entertainment wasn't up to much and the childrens mini disco never started on time
but they made sure it still ended at 9 pm by cutting out some songs. This is a typical 3 star hotel I have been in worse. Booked through jet 2 on last minute so price was good
Would we use hotel again maybe but would ask for a pool view as it gets the sun morning till mid
afternoon

Room Tip: Pool view higher floors also get a see view

I don't know how people can fault this hotel I stayed for a week in August and I thought everything was great, hotel staff polite and helpful, food n drink available all day with so much choice (spoilt) food being changed after so long, location was brill so close to beach and shops with a short walk into alcudia. i want to know why keep going on about the carpet of course it's going to get worn with people walking up and down every day u don't go on holiday to look at the carpet and it's not in the rooms so don't know why it's always brought up, our bedding was changed a couple of times in the week n towels everyday rooms were also very clean. I would certainly go back to this hotel, I just don't agree with some comments.

Before I start the review of the Continental Park, a few words about Majorca airport.
I’ve never known so much walking at an airport, we virtually walked the full length of it 4 times (landing , immigration, baggage claim to transport) and similar coming home. After finally arriving at the baggage claim it was 40 mins before the first case appeared. Not impressed at all.
Also the standard transfer by Transunion is around 2 hours which for us was too long.
If you are going to Ca’n Picafort it will be even longer.
OK the Continental Park, we stayed for a week starting 18 Sept.
The good bits first,
All the staff are very friendly and helpful, everyone seems to speak English
The bar facilities are spot on with a central island for self service in both the pool bar and dining room for all drinks except spirits ( also there are no hot drinks in the dining room on an evening).
Spirits are served at the bar and are very generous. I didn’t have to queue at all during the week and the hotel was quite full. Contrary to some reviews the drinks which are all local are of normal strength and decent quality.
The pool is large enough and was kept clean and tidy, there were plenty of loungers, most were in reasonable repair.
You can buy wifi time, we had it at 15 euros for the week but you can only use on the first device you register it with. No shares
OK now the not so good,
I’ve stayed in many hotels both holiday and business and not to put too fine a point on it, this is a noisy hotel.
The walls in the room are the thinnest I’ve come across in a hotel, being able to listen ( whether you want to or not) to the guests next door going to toilet, snoring or talking in anything louder than a whisper.
Furniture scraping across floors, bar and pool noise, guests in the corridor and I don’t mean late night revellers just ordinary people saying good night etc.
During our stay we had no change of bed linen nor even had the beds made up.
The main room floor was never swept or cleaned but the bathroom had daily attention with clean towels every day and the bins emptied.
The bed was rock solid and I like them soft
Last but not least – the food is dreadful unless you normally exist on salad alone.
It’s true there is always something to eat but it won’t be something you want to eat.
Like many others we ate out a few times, there a several reasonably priced places close by.
The hotel is centrally located in Playa de Muro but there isn’t a lot to the place
10 mins and you’ve seen most of it. There isn’t even a promenade along the beach if you like an evening stroll it will be along the main road.
I understand the hotel has changed hands yet again, maybe the new owners will get a grip and sort the place out .
There is a good local bus service for trips to other nearby resorts
1,50 euros per ride
Being an AI hotel I can’t do my usual on drinks prices but in the nearby bars beer cost
1.50 to 3.50 euros and Gin and Tonic around 6 euros. You can get a decent meal for 8 to 10 euros
Will we go again – No.
We probably won’t go to Majorca again after the airport marathon.
Would we recommend it – No

Room Tip: Pool views are noisiest

Stayed at hotel for 8 days from 21.9.13 room 416 opposite end to the pool. Check in was smooth room looking tired could do with upgrade. Room was cleaned every day with fresh towels. Bathroom was functional shower worked well and always hot water. Carpets in the corridors/stairs looked grubby and could do with replacing. Pool area was clean and pool good size however water was dirty and water very cold. Pool bar was nice you can help yourself to soft drinks/coffee/beer and if you wanted sprits you had to go to bar which was not busy. Snack bar was also here but did not try any of the food as it was left out for hours was not sure if safe to eat. Dining room was nice however the food was awful. I read the review previously and sadly they were right. The meat was poor quality pork and veal every day. The only day they had chicken it was over cooked and meat was like rubber. I survived on salad and cheese which after a while got boring. I heard lots of people complaining to the management about the quality of the food but nothing changed so I did not bother to complain myself. Some of the people staying there were a bit scary with tattoos and fat bellies drinking beer from 9 in the morning (that’s just the women). If you like the program Benidorm you will definitely feel comfortable here. I would not come back to this hotel again. The only positive thing about this hotel is location 5 mins from beech.

Room Tip: Opposite side to pool

I stayed in the hotel from 12 Sep for two weeks, AI. I think I must have been in a different place to some of the reviews I have read during that time.
The transfer by bus from airport was about two hours +, my tip, pay the extra for a more direct drop off. The hotel is in a great location , near the beach which is stunning. Buses are cheap, modern and easy to use... don't spend the extra on organised trips, 1.50 euro to C'an Picafort, 1 euro to Alcudia market, 1.75 euro to Puerto Pollensa.
The hotel food was plentiful, well presented and generally warm/hot. Choices from fish, chicken , pork, beef and a multitude of salad items(all freshly prepared), veg of all sorts and masses of different fruits, some fresh such a melons, apples, oranges , bananas and yes.. fruit cocktails from a tin....still OK so why complain!. Breakfasts had similar items each day... but then that's the same as home, choice was good. Waiting staff were friendly and polite and cleared away when you were finish, never snatching items from the table.
Bar staff were fun and friendly, they always smiled and were a breath of fresh air when compared to previous hotels I have stayed in. They got to know the drinks you had and they were getting them ready for you as you got to the bar. Soft juice, beer, tea and coffee were all available as self service and saved on queues.
Megan and Azun, the entertainment team had been thrown in at the deep end at the last minute after staff changes. they had limited resources from the hotel but tried to make the best of what they had. Rifle shooting, darts, sjoelen, water polo, , French bowls, table tennis and yes bingo with cash prizes which may guests asked them for, quizzes and outside entertainment. Not a bad choice if you wanted to join in, we had fun when we did and met many lovely people. I would suggest, as others have, that the hotel provide resources to the animation team to enhance their guests stay, more animation staff would be good.
Rooms were clean, big with loads of storage space, more than the normal. Cleaned daily and towels changed daily if you wished. No complaints there. Bedding could have been changed more often due to the heat.
Take LOADS of mozzie stuff.... you will need it, you have been warned!
Yes some areas of the hotel such as some carpets do need changed as they were grubby, but that will come during the refurbishment and did not spoil my time at the hotel.
Would I go back..... yes.

Room Tip: Our room faced the mountains and was fine. There was fan noise from below but due to the MOZZIES the...

Just returned from spending a week 22ndto 29th september at the continental park hotel. This was our first visit to the hotel so this is my honest and true report.

On arriving at reception had to wait for approx 10 mins to check in as there were quite a few people arriving, but was given excellent treatment when it came to our turn. We were given room 316 on the third floor opposite the lifts, we found it to be much quieter on this side.

The hotel is in an excellent position for the beach and shops.

We found the food ok, but as many people in the hotel commented that it was pork nearly every day, although there was several other choices fish, pasta, salads etc.

The food was really only hot if you got there when the restaurant opened, otherwise it was look warm.

As other reviews commented that the table cloths were rather grubby .

It was good to be able to get drinks etc in the dining room but plastic glasses in the dining room even in the evening.

Can understand them being in the bar, but not in the dining room.

The weather made our holiday, would i go back possibly if the ROC hotel improve it.

Room Tip: ask for a room away from the pool as the outside entertainment in the evening can be abit noisy
