We were there pre-season, at the end of April. The apartment was wonderful with a lovely view of the sea. Was great to have a separate bedroom and a small kitchen. We did not get all-inclusive but a grocery store was right across the street so we could eat two meals easily in our place. Unfortunately many restaurants were closed, so we ate a few times in the hotel restaurant. It was 19 Euros all-inclusive, and included a huge buffet. Some things were good, but we got tired of the sameness after being there only twice. In spite of having cold, windy weather, we enjoyed the fitness area (small) and the indoor pool, (tiny) and the wellness area. We rented bikes and had a great day out, and enjoyed walking along the beach toward the shops/cafes about a kilometre away. The animation team were primarily for the small children, and I had two teenagers, so it didn't work for us. We speak German so language wasn't a problem, but it could be if you only speak English.

Room Tip: choose the extra cost of half-sea view I think it was called. We were in Block 3 right next to the s...

Wonderful location, friendly staff, good food, Rooms getting somewhat tired, but kept spotlesslessly clean. Our biggest disappointment after many years visiting this hotel was that the sporting activities and kids clubs were haphazard without any structure. Rudi made such a difference to this hotel and was the most committed and professional member of staff - it was such a disappointment to have seen the standards in this area fall so greatly. Multilingual staff in the children's clubs also appear to be something of the past. Great for the German children though. Pease come back Rudi!!

Very very nice hotel. Great pool, great rooms and even the quiz was great!
Located right on the beach so literally a two minute walk from your room to the sea.
Great staff. Definitely a German based hotel but all announcements made in English and the staff could all speak fluent English too.
Staff were really friendly and great with the kids.
Not too many restaurants nearby but those that were there were really nice, staff even helping me with me poor Spanish. However, a cheap and great bus service can get you to the nearest resorts very quickly.

Yes, the hotel is nice, the pool is nice, the beach is nice. But all this ruined by one member of staff and complete disregard of customer service by the hotel.
During our 10 day stay our 7 year old son's Nintendo "went missing" from Lost Property. Added to this, the hotel staff did absolutely nothing to help, wanted nothing to do with the situation, and even returned our complaint paperwork to us before we left. After many requests asking the hotel to investigate we were told that the hotel had returned the Nintendo to us, which is absolute fabrication...Very, very unhappy.

Just got back from a week HB at the Eden Playa with my wife and 16 year old son.
The hotel is situated at the quiet end of Playa de Muro right on the long beach behind dunes accessed by a wooden walkway. Great for watching the sun come up from the bay and early morning swims in the empty still sea. Also really nice beach for running before anyone is awake. The beach does get quite busy during the day but is very safe and shallow with a lovely jetty.
The hotel is not directly on the main road along the bay which means it is super quiet. Other hotels such as Iberostar Playa de Muro and Playa de Muro Village face the road and I imagine could get rather noisy.
The hotel is apartment based with separate bedroom and sitting room with small kitchen. This was good for us as we didnt share a room with our son and had somewhere to keep drinks cold. The standard of the room was not too bad, bed a little hard but OK. Flat screen TV (watched once for Sky News). We were in a corner room 3020 in block Soller on the ground floor which was great as it was nearest the pool and beach but furthest away from the entertainment stage, which could get a bit noisy in the evening. The pool area was good with one deep pool 1.9 metres. Shallower pools were good for kids, not huge but never overly full. There was the usual sunbed problem but you just have to go with it and get up early if you wanted one right by the pool.
Nearly all of the people staying were German families with a few British, Spanish etc but it was very quiet and relaxed.
The design of the hotel was quite nice as it didnt seem at all big with three story blocks containing ten apartments per floor surrounded by palm and tree lined walkways.
Breakfasts were good with lots of variety (including a do-it-yourself fresh orange juice squeezing machine) and the evening meal was buffet, again with well cooked good choices. Meals were all inside. If staying half board it is possible to also eat at the outdoor restaurant where the food was also good, barbequed fish, ribs, meat etc. Drinks also were included for this which was good. We decided not to stay on an All Inclusive basis and were pleased we did as the lunch option seemed poor. Drinks were not too expensive (large beer 2.80) and the lunch food at the outdoor restaurant was also good value (good quality pizza, burgers, sea food etc). The difference between HB and AI was around £20 a day each, no way we would have spent that much as we are not big drinkers, plus better lunches if you wanted them after such a big breakfast. Dinner was over two sittings, ours was between 7.45 and 9.00 allowing those with small children to eat earlier.
We had a car so visited other areas such as Cap Formentor, Port Pollensa, Formentor Beach and a great beach north of Formentor called Cala Figuera with stunning blue sea.
We are usually very fussy and mostly stay 5* but felt this was a very good 4* option and would recommend Eden Playa to anyone considering spending more on an Iberostar etc in Playa De Muro.

Room Tip: Stayed in 3020 which was a corner room so only one neighbour.

We stayed here for one week on a B &B option as we wanted to have the extra space that an apartment with a kitchenette offers. This suited us perfectly and we were impressed with the overall standard that the apartment offered us. The main comment to make, as I am in agreement with previous guests comments, is that the hotel website undersells itself! This hotel is much more impressive than the photos show or the basic information that is provided.

We opted to pay for WiFi while we were there, 15 euros a week. The whole complex was really safe for our little one, the guests were very family friendly and the distance to the beach was fantastic. We would recommend this to British families, the entertainment was mainly in German, but the magic shows, flamenco dancing and disco were fine as you only needed to watch them !!

Room Tip: We had block 9 which was away from the main pool area, where the evening entertainment was situated...

We have just returned from Eden Playa and would certianly recommend this hotel for an all inclusive family holiday. Room only and half board are available, but the all inc proved very cost effective.

We had a very spacious first floor room (lounge with sep bedroom) with large balcony overlooking the bay.

The fresh water swimming pool is excellent for children (ours 2 and 4) as it has a large shallow area for playing, as well as a deeper part. There is also a small splash pool for babies. The hotel has a typically Spanish play area, sheltered under pine trees, which although perhaps in need of some improvement/updating, serves is purpose. There is a whole host of rides/ bouncy castle in a small parade of shops/restaurants immediately outside the hotel.

The food at the hotel is excellent. We have stayed in a number of all inc hotels (most of which have been 5 star in Greek islands) and are of the view that the food at Eden Playa is better than most we've encountered. The snack bar next to the pool (open 10.30 to 18.00) is great for children and for a light lunch or snack, as there is no need to change out of swimming clothes and there is a good choice (burgers/ pasta/ salads etc). Our little ones loved the self serve ice cream machine as well as the tubs of ice cream from the bar! The hotel also offers soft drinks, hot drinks, decent beer and sangria on tap, as well as a good selection of drinks all day, including cava and cocktails.

I can only imagine that the reason there are so few UK reviews of this hotel is that most of the guests are not British (which was no problem for us at all!). The majority of guests are German but in my view this makes for more exacting standards, which are clearly evident in the general cleanliness and consistent helpfulness of the staff.

In the evening there is a mini disco for the children, with face painting some nights, followed by a show, which our two loved. Table service during the evening entertainment also means that you can stay with the little ones and don't have to queue at the bar.

The hotel is situated on a super, gently shelving beach which stretches the whole bay. There is a 10 euro daily charge for the sun beds but given the hotel pool is only a matter of metres off the beach, you can also enjoy the sea breeze beside the pool for free.

We booked this hotel with Travel Republic and did not have much info on it at the time. Having been, we are delighted with this choice and would highly recommend the Eden Playa on an all inclusive basis.

Room Tip: Don't go for ground floor as the terraces are behind hedges with no view. First floor rooms hav...
