“Lovely week - would happily return”
Reviewed 15 June 2012

We spent a week at half-term with 2 girls (12 and 10) so hotel very busy. Reception desk always very polite and helpful.

Rooms - apartments look like they used to be self-catering hence kitchenette area. Nice enough bathroom and trundle bed and sofa always make up for the kids. Plenty of space in the living area though the double bedroom a little cramped beside the wardrobe. However, still more room for us than other hotel rooms have been for 4 people.

Beds - hard pillows and a dip in the mattress.

View - we had a lovely high floor with a view looking towards C'an Picafort, the sea and the road. Loved it - good to get away from the pool and noise of evening activities, although we could hear some bad karoake from the bars it wasn't intrusive for us. The balcony was large with plenty of room for 4 to play cards, drying towels etc.

Pool - lovely pools, great one for kids, a toddler pool as well as one for adults/families. Cold at first but fine after a bit. You have to queue as usual for sunbeds which were unlocked about 8.45am. With so many rooms there clearly isn't enough space or beds for everyone. Nor is there enough shade, no parasols, the trees are the shade. Beach - The gorgeous beach is on the doorstep and I believe 10 euros for a parasol and 2 beds. This is is the nicest stretch of beach and water I've ever come across.

Entertainment - not our thing, the kids used to enjoy the mini disco stuff but grown out of it now. However, what we did see of it matched the adult entertainment which was the worst we have ever experienced (this is our 4th AI holiday). Really lame. Most people don't realise there is a bar/cafe at the front of the hotel where you can sit out, less bar queues and a singer who is far superior to the nonsense people were sitting through. Recommended if you wish to avoid the mini disco. The kids joined the Maxi club in the day which kept them amused.
The entertainment team do work hard for their money - 1 did the adult daytime stuff, mini disco and unbelievably was also the adult entertainment!

Food - more of a choice then other hotels we've stayed at. Usual buffet which can get repetitive but also plenty of freshly cooked food. Lovely beef steaks, mexican & chinese evenings plus the usual salads. One evening there were 3 trays of large shell-on prawns. I watched with a mixture of horror and disgust as a German man thrust his manky hands into them, shovelling them onto his plate like an animal. I tried to demonstrate with the tongs but he didn't notice and continued to use his dirty hands with no regard for hygiene or anyone else. It was at times like this I wished I'd been less of a reserved Brit and more of a loud American and told him to "keep your filthy mitts out of the food you dirty b*astard!".

Area - lots of tourist shops and Spars, hair-braiding etc. on the doorstep. A taxi is only 10 euros or less to Alcudia. Also worth a taxi to the market in the Old Town (Sunday & Tuesday). Lots of leather bags and other goods, some a bit tacky but interesting to look around. Would also recommend spending time in a lovely Spanish square to stop for a drink.

Overall - good value for money but would have hated a balcony over the road. Definitly a place for families rather than couples. Great location and would happily return.

Room Tip: We were in Block 2 on the 6th (highest) floor and loved the view across the south end of the bay. T...

When we arrived at lunch time, our cases were taken to our room while we were checking in.A nice touch as it gave us time to eat before the restaurant closed. Our one bedroom apartment was spotless with a pool view and a side sea view.We found the food to be excellent and varied,if you can't find something different every day you aren't looking! We have always preferred beach to pool wherever we go so paying 10euro for sunbeds and brolly is usual. The beach here is well worth it.The evening entertainment was a good standard, although it was a bit chilly some nights as it was only the third week in May.The staff were very hard working and cheerfull, they always had a smile and a hola.We had a very enjoyable fortnight and would certainly recommend it for an all-inclusive holiday.

Room Tip: Try to get a pool view, otherwise you will probably get a road view.

Just returned from Iberostar Alcudia Park. On arrival we were met by fantastic staff & the easiest check in ever! Rooms could be more up to date, but spotlessly clean & a good size. The kids loved the pool, beach, table tennis, kids club everything! Food was lovely & a lot of choice, fillet of beef, loads of fish & a fantastic Mexican night aswell. We will definatley be returning to an Iberostar hotel again. Well done!

just returned from a weeks stay with our 7yr old granddaughter who really enjoyed the pool, sea and kids club and most of the shows.the food was excellent, all staff very friendly all areas very clean.yes rooms are a bit dated but you dont spend the holiday in the room so no problem.have been in many 5 star hotels and thought the alcudia park a very reasonable 4 star.would have no reservations to return again but only with children as there are many children staying at hotel.

Room Tip: rooms facing pool very quiet

We stayed here 29/05-05/05/12 - When we arrived we were greeted by Bob he was amazing and funny. we checked in and to our suprise we had a pool view (not usual for thomas cook) the rooms are fine, a little small but with just 3 of us it was fine for us.

Food was nice and varied every night although breakfast was boring as it was same every day. Chocolate fountain took me by suprise and i LOVED it, you did que for food but only the stuff which was cooked right in front of you there was lots of other food which was buffet style so if you dont want to wait for extra fresh stuff then take that other option. you cant expect a hotel with the capacity of 1200 people to not have a que on at dinner time!!!!

it was our sons birthday while in resort and the whole range of staff were lovely, entertainment gave him a certificate and present, waiters brought out a cake with only 10 minutes notice and had candles. everything was brilliant until 1/2 term arrived. the bar outside where the entertainment was, was at least 4 people deep to get a drink took on average 20 mins to be served. I also noticed the staff were serving the german guests as priority but this didnt put me off just get a tray full of drinks each time you get served. it may benefit the hotel to have more staff on at these busy periods.

The pool is FREEZING and very busy! we had trouble getting our 2 year old in and to stay in, although it is clean and well maintained with a lifeguard.

the beach was better, very clean the water was crystal clear and just 5 steps (or so) down to it. loungers are 10euro for 2 with a brolly but this isnt bad if your staying all day.

I am not a person to go back to the same place twice but i would be really tempted to return. The staff are amazing and work extremely hard esp the entertainment.

thanks for a fab time :-)

Just returned from a weeks stay. Agree with other reviews, not a 4 star hotel, more like a 3. Hotel clean, good food, rooms quite small and bit dated but as we didn't spend much time in the room not a big issue. Hotel at capacity when we were there so sunbeds were chained up from 6pm to 9am which then meant a big fight to get one as there weren't enough! Staff worked really hard although seemed to favour the german guests. Main issue was the security around the mini club. I have never let my 5 year old go before due to concerns over safety. First day of using the club my fears were realised. During a treasure hunt, my son with several other english children were lost. My son was found wandering on the beach. When returning to the mini club to find out what was going on they hadn't even realised he was missing! Talking to other people this wasn't a one off incident. So please if you do use the mini club for ages, maybe best to keep checking your kids are where they are supposed to be!

Room Tip: Our room was in block 5 on 5th floor and fairly quiet.
