This was a fantastic family hotel. Great food, excellent service. Rooms were big and plenty of space. The pool area was not overcrowded and only 20m to the wide expanse of beach. The hotel next door offered a wider range of services and you were free to use the facilities if you wanted a more active holiday but it was busier and it suited us to be at the quieter village next door. We went half board but the all inclusive option looked like a great deal if you could get it at a reasonable price. The only down side was that alcoholic drinks were expensive but I think this was down to the stronger euro and the present economic climate. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to friends going to Majorca. All the staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful.

Second visit to Playa de Muro Village and still excellent standards throughout. Arrived June 5 and stayed for 14 nights.
Going in school term time made for a very quiet time (we went in August last year). Large numbers of families with babies/toddlers and sometimes the restaurant became very noisy. Food generally excellent although our second week the menu was not as varied but the desserts are wonderful. Entertainment wasn’t bad although only about 10 people watching (perhaps Euro 2008 had something to do with it). I felt sorry for those putting all that effort in but it passed an hour. We only paid for a double room but were allocated a suite. (Although looking at the floor plans all the rooms seem to be suites). Very spacious, bedroom, separate living area with a fridge, patio doors off both bedroom and living room. Lovely large balcony. Bathroom spacious with a great shower. Stayed in 6426 last year and 6430 this time round. Balcony overlooks gardens this time but pool view from 6426.
The beach is fabulous, we spent all our time there rather than round the pool area which is quite shady. You do have to pay if you want a bed. It was 8 euros for 2 beds and an umbrella. The ‘pineapple man’ does his daily sales from the beach and for 4 euros you can sample the sweetest pineapple (or water melon and coconut), just what you need to refresh you. Lovely!
Drinks are expensive with your meals as we didn’t stay ‘all inclusive’ but you can get your own and stick them in the fridge from the supermarket over the road. Costs about 19 euros for a bottle of wine at dinner and 2 euros for coke or fanta etc. Choice for lunch if you are on half board isn’t great and for the buffet they charge 20 euros per person so we just bought baguettes, cheese, ham from the supermarket and had a cheap lunch on our balcony.
First Choice rep was lovely but didn’t have a clue! He was new to the job and admitted that he was a bit disorganised! We had taxi transfers arranged both to the hotel and back to the airport but nobody could tell us what time the taxi was picking us up to take back to airport but the rep came good in the end.
Weather was a bit unsettled for the first few days but then out came the sun and it was lovely.
Had another great holiday and would certainly go back to the Play de Muro Village.

Stayed here at the Village middle week of June 2008.
Couldn't ask for a better room. Very Modern, clean, and bright...and enormous beds.
View from our room on the terrace was of the pool and part of the bay. Perfect at night time for relaxing on terrace listening to the evenings entertainment.
Even though my Husband is classed as disabled, we didn't come across any obstacles. Bath sides really low with grab rails and towel rails to help out. Ramps into room corridors, ramps down to eating area and the whole of Playa De Muro is flat.
Only stopped half board but no problems with finding any where to eat, restaurants everywhere, from English ones to Chinese.
Bus stops outside, not many taxi's, but we didn't visit anywhere, we were happy to stay and relax by the pool where there was plenty of sunbeds available each day.
Didn't make it onto the beach - even though it was 30 secs walk away, but did see that the sea is very shallow for about 200yrds so good for kids and water games.

Perfect for a week of relaxation and from comments from others holidaying at the same time - perfect for families with young children.

Just returned from a lovely break at this hotel. Had 10 days there but wish it could have been longer.
Positives- Beautiful golden sand beach, very shallow and warm water, hotel nicely presented, friendly staff - except some of the reception staff, nice food and quieter than some of the other hotels in the area. Weather pretty good but rain only on a couple of days. Food excellent! Very pretty and rooms a good size, ours was a suite so more than enough.

Negatives- we were a couple there without children - sadly for us we were one of the only ones. Lots of people with babies & toddlers, we could hear children crying through the walls in our room morning & night...... also the same a dinner. Need I say more- perfect for those with young families but not for a romantic break

Had a lovely holiday until the evening before departure the next morning. Experienced 2 glorious weeks last year in June so decided to take the family back this year. We were a party of 15.
On arrival the reception staff were wonderful and had upgraded most of our rooms. Our room was a ground floor suite 6410 that did not have pool views. Our holiday went really well, weather could of been better but that is out of our control.Very slippy and quite dangerous floors inside and out when wet.We were all inclusive and so worth the money, food fantastic especially beach buffet restaurant.Bar and waiting staff friendly and can't do enough to help you.
Now for the downside.Mosquitoes galore! Our entire party suffered multiple mosquito bites despite spraying ourselves twice a day and using plug ins by the beds.
But my nightmare began when we returned to our room to pack on our last evening. When entering the room it had been ransacked for us to discover we had been robbed. A large suitcase had been stolen with half the contents of our room. Nearly all my husbands clothes and trainers gone and some choice items of mine and lots of valuables.
When i reported it to reception the police were called but the manager didn't want to know.He was totally without compassion.
We spent 3 hours waiting around reception and then had to pay for our own taxi there and back to Pollensa police station to sign a statement. We arrived back to our room at 10-30.We never did get an apology off the manager.
What a shame I really loved that location but I will not return.

We stayed at the Village for a Surprise 50th birthday. We were there for a week in October. Sadly the weather was a bit like the UK, unpredictable! However this did not dampen our spirits for what was a fabulous week away.

The Village was a great resort with a lovely pool, grounds and restaurant. The pool though was colder than the sea at this time of year.

We were half board and there was a fantastic choice of food every morning and night. In fact some nights there was themes such as Mexican night. However if there was nothing you fancied (I am very fussy, I have a nut allergy, don't like dairy and only eat chicken in way of meat) they would make you something up on the grill. I never once struggled to eat out there and they were accommodating of my allergy.

The room we had had a fabulous sea view and overlooked the pool too. I can't fault it for a week it was a great size and the shower/bath were great after a day's sightseeing. Each section of apartments have their own name we were in the Formentor Block.

The service by everyone was excellent from the maids cleaning the rooms to the staff at reception to the waiting staff in the evening. Nothing was too much trouble.

The entertainment was lively enough for us either with some entertainment in the village or you could go to the hotel. There was plenty choice even for so late in the season. We saw a few good shows in fact my nephew is now a mad Abba fan after seeing Mamma Mia! The only minor gripe was that weather reports and days activities were often in German as the hotel was aimed very much towards German clientele. However given this we never had any problems anyone understanding us and there were other British people staying in the resort.

Location is great as it is right on the beach, I was up most days for spectacular sun rise pictures and even witnessed an amazing lightning storm one evening which lasted 12hrs! Directly across from the village there are some nice gift shops (lovely jewellery shop) and also a great supermarket to fill up on snacks or bottled water. However I would recommend a car for getting around if you want to see more of this beautiful island.

We all had a fantastic holiday staying in this resort and have some wonderful memories to take with us.
