“Comfortable, convenient and close to the centre of town.”
Reviewed 16 July 2017 for a stay in July 2017

We stayed in the apartment for a week and found it very good. Plenty of space and everything you really need (no TV, but we were on holiday)
Literally, just a few steps to the town square with bakeries and restaurants. Plenty of parking.
A great place for a base to explore the beautiful countryside.
don’t miss the weaving centre and the wool spinning factory.

“go for it”
Reviewed 10 January 2016 for a stay in September 2015

my wife and i have visited here twice.
the apartment is roomy and comfortable and quiet. it has high ceilings and great natural light. it has a good stove, if you like to cook. it's on a quiet tree-lined street about a block and a half from the main square.
felletin is a lovely little market town and the countryside around felletin is beautiful.
the owners, bruce and andrea, run the place very well, and they are very easy to talk to. we've been visiting france since the mid-'70's, for what that's worth, and i would rate place des abres in the top five or ten places we've stayed at.

Liked best: The decor was stylish, the location was nice and we loved the area.
Liked least: The skimping on equipment like towels, decent kitchen equipment, duvet size etc It just seemed a bit mean.

Thanks for taking the time to review our property. We feel that it is a real shame that you didn't discuss any of the problems that you experienced with us, thus giving us an opportunity to rectify them. Our linen is charged per person per week, if you had wanted a change of linen you could have asked, this is the norm in holiday rentals. We do not provide a washing machine because there is nowhere to dry laundry as we do not have a garden, but for a week, guests usually manage, so sorry if this was an inconvenience to you, but we are honest about what is provided in the apartment. We had an email exchange about a TV and DVD player with you before your stay, so this too, was not a surprise when you arrived. As we live on site and are almost always available, it is our experience that our guests approach us if they have any issues and we make every effort to rectify them.

“Fabulous food and beautiful accomdation - a winning combination”
Reviewed 3 August 2012 for a stay in July 2012

We wanted to visit this part of France for ages as we'd heard its so unspoiled and relaxing. However on our numerous visits to France we had often been let down by accommodation. This was far from the case at 3 Place des Arbres - the rooms were fantastic - stylishly put together with plenty of space and character.
We had booked to take some of our evening meals with Bruce & Andrea and after our second night decided to take all our evening meals with them as the food was excellent. Although I'm not a vegetarian (my husband is) I was very impressed with the food in terms of the variety, execution and presentation.
Bruce & Andrea were great hosts - that perfect mix of friendliness and professionalism.
Felletin is a lovely place to visit and a great base from which to explore the region. This area of France certainly delivered on its promise but our stay at 3 Place des Arbres went well beyond our expectations.

“Just as great as it looks”
Reviewed 10 April 2012 for a stay in March 2012

Felletin is a perfect base from which to house hunt in Creuse. The village itself has a lot to offer and people were very friendly. Our hosts Andrea and Bruno were knowledgeable and helpful with advising us on aspects of living in France.
Our accommodation in the self contained apartment was perfect, well equipped kitchen and modern bathroom, we could have stayed for a month or more!
We ate with our hosts on two evenings, the food was great along with the company and we can highly recommend this chambre d'hote.

“This warm, friendly worthwhile B&B in a delightful town is highly recommended.”
Reviewed 2 February 2012 for a stay in September 2011

Travelling home to UK from the south of France we were looking forward to a hearty vegetarian/vegan meal, comfortable night's sleep and anything else would be a bonus. We were not disappointed ! From the time we checked out their useful website to the time we arrived nothing was too much trouble. A warm English welcome in a gorgeous French setting this historical venue catered for our dietary needs superbly and at a reasonable price. Indeed so successful have Bruce & Andrea established themselves as a veggie B&B that we noted non vegetarian French guests on repeat visits to this very French setting. This a tribute to the great food and very special way in which guests are treated. Very spacious, clean rustic rooms are provided in a quiet setting where travellers should allow enough time to wander the streets of this picturesque town not too many miles from the autoroute north.
