Nice rooms and such but learnt a valuable life lesson during my stay. Always research the surrounding area.. I looked only at the accommodation and didn't release I would be staying practically on a farm. Most of the "activities" were a struggle, for example cycling.. Couldn't do it at all as the paths and roads were covered in mud and stones. Make sure to get a SUV rather than a coupe if you've got the choice as I almost got stuck using one of the bypasses when an oncoming vehicle was approaching. The good news is no need to worry about your rubbish as there is a Scrapyard right next door. I didn't get much sleep either due to the tractors and cows being so loud but if I had known about the farm I wouldn't have been so overwhelmed.
We stayed in the smaller of the three Gites, we had one family bedroom between four of us and had plenty of space. The kitchen/diner was well equipped. Bathroom was large with a bath that was perfect for young children. Living room was also a good size.
The gardens are perfect for the children to play in, there are various swings, slides, a couple of trampolines and ball games to play. The pool is large and very clean.
The Gites are in a perfect location not too far away from shops. The surrounding area is beautiful. There are lakes to visit and attractions.
The best part of the holiday was the warm welcome we received from the host family. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Our children quickly made friends with their children and enjoyed spending hours in the gardens and the pool. The family are very knowledgable about the area and were able to recommend days out. We were able to relax on our own if we wished, but were also invited to join the family for days out or evenings in the garden.
We will definitely be returning next year.
