We stayed here for two weeks at the beginning of September. Loved it. Very relaxing holiday. Weather was a bit variable. Rained on a few days. Apartments are huge and very comfortable. Room attendants left us towel animal creations everyday which was a lovely surprised each day to see what they had made us. Yes the restaurants are pricey by Thai standards but not expenses by resort prices. We tried out a few different restaurants- Ginja, Mediterranean, Italian, but brought most of our meal at the Sian deli as the prices were reasonable and the food was OK. Also went to Coffee club for a couple of meals and some morning coffee. We brought supplies for our breakfast and lunch at the supermarket at Turtle Village.
We took the hotel shuttle to Patong one day (expense) and were bothered by the vendors trying to sell us lots of junk really.
We took advice of one of the reviews and rang up Mr Kung and he arranged a driver to take us anywhere we wanted to see around the island for 8 hours for 1500 bht.
We did a few of the activities on site and did the Ginja cooking class. All were great.
Great place for a relaxing holiday. No need to venture out of the resort unless you want a bit of a change of scenery occasionally.
Loved the baby elephants on site and the closest to the beach

We just spent a week at this fabulous resort. We had a condominium we had traded to. The condo was perfect, super clean, over-looking a lush tropical garden, nicely furnished, spacious balcony, internet. The resort´s restaurants are superb, the whole setting is fantastic. The pools are spectacular. Could not use the beach much do to monsoon and strong waves but it would be wonderful at a different time of year. A nice variety of activities kept us busy during the rainy hours. Tours are easily arranged, service is excellent. - Only drawback, the only food market nearby is poorly stocked and exorbitant, so it was more economical to eat in the restaurants. - We will return.

Room Tip: The only drawback is the distance to a decent supermarket. Next time, we will take a taxi and stock...

The entire family of 4 really enjoyed the 1 week stay at the 2 bedroom villa. The place got it all. The staffs were super friendly. The only complain was the prices of the food were so high. We did try the Dim Sum lunch buffet at one of the restaurants and it was not bad & the price was decent. Siam Deli was actually pretty good but still expensive compare to outside. We also got delivery from Kin Dee once and the food was really good too. We rented a car so we were able to go out to explore and we got groceries from Tesco Lotus. All and all, it was a great trip & will definitely go back again next time when we travel to Asia.

My husband and I stayed at the JW Marriott Phuket & Spa Resort a few years ago, which is just next to this property. We enjoyed our stay so much that we decided to return to the resort with our 2 tween boys. Instead of booking two adjoining rooms at JW, we booked a 2-bedroom suite at the Beach Club. The Beach Club shares all facilities JW has to offer.
Our suite was beautiful, spacious and clean. It felt like a home away from home, with all amenities we could think of. Laundry detergent was even replenished daily! We were on the top floor on the north wing. Our room has a big balcony with partial ocean view (some palm trees in the way).
This is a beautiful resort. Their rate might be high, but it was well worth. We spent our entire 4-day vacation at the resort...why leave 'paradise'?

We just returned from a week here and it was a perfect week of beach/pool fun and family time. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment, it had everything we needed and in very good condiiton. They provided a cot for my 10mth old and he slept beautifully in it.
Whilst yes the cost of some things is more than what you could pay for ... its good quality and you can sort of adapt to your own. Because you have the facilities you can do own breakfast and lunch/snacks and then splurge on dinner!
We also have a daily trip to get a coffee after breakfast which was a nice start to the day.
They have some local massage and manicure options on the beach which was nice, my husband has an hour massage on the beach for about 30 Sing dollars I think :)
We also used the hotels baby-sitting service which was very reasonable and the ladies we had were lovely, even though mostly our baby was sleeping at night, it meant we could go out for a couple of hours have a drink and dinner and it wasn't that expensive. It was really a holiday for us all .... it is remote though so if you want to get out and about and see other parts of Phuket its really at least 30/45 mins away so this resort I think is for those that are happy to stay within the complex.

This property is amazing. We stayed in a 2 bedroom-villa at the Marriott Beach Club for 7 days and had every amenity that we could even think of requiring. The room had a washer and dryer, satellite tv, kitchen utensils and appliances (microwave, stovetop, rice cooker, even a blender!). The housekeeping staff pay every attention to detail and deliver service with sincere smiles.

Walking around the resort is an experience altogether; every turn is a surprise and a sight to behold with all the greenery, flowers and fixtures like babbling brooks and bridges. There are three infinity pools. There is a high selection of restaurants. The only advice I can impart is to try to avoid the Anantara Grill. We had our engagement dinner there and found the grilled red snapper very bland. As an alternative, neighboring Anantara Hotel has "Sea Fire Salt" which has mouthwatering seafood, and for more reasonable pricing (we had more food for half our bill at the Anantara Grill).

A great feature of the hotel is that on the beach are services offered by locals. We ate at a local shack steps away from the resort Thai food, which was a fraction of the cost. Lined on the beach were also women offering massages, mani/pedis and clothing for sale.

After a few days of staying on the resort however, we felt a bit antsy at being exposed to a North American version of Thailand so in order to experience local culture, we rented a car ourselves and found to drive it much cheaper than hiring a driver along with it (rates dependent on the distance from the hotel).

We can't wait to go back to this hotel!

Stayed at JW Marriott Phuket Beach club with my wife and another couple from the 15th Sept till the 21st and had the best time ever. From the moment we arrived till the day we left we absolutely enjoyed ourselves, Loved the guy at the front entrance who smiled and saluted everytime we turned up .The rooms were fantastic,(we had a 2 bedroom apartment on the north wing) Breakfast buffet was excellent, as were the pool bars and especially the swim up bar .Had great fun interacting with the baby Elephants that show up at 10 am and 3 pm each day.The Sala lounge by the front entrance is a great place to chill out with a quiet drink All in all a fantastic place to stay,,.would stay there again anytime.. loved it
