I was able to stay here as a guest of my parents via an II timeshare exchange. My friends and I were very impressed. This property is apart of JW Marriott Phuket hotel, so Phuket Beach Club residents have access to the JW's amenities. I've stayed at many MVC timeshare properties before but this has to be one of the best in terms of quality and service. Water bottles and housekeeping services are provided daily with no associated fees. DVD rentals at the fitness center are free for a 24 hr time interval. Also, bike rentals at the fitness center are free for a 2 hr time interval. The concierge booked our airport transfers, day trips to Phang Nga Bay/James Bond Island Sea Cave Explorer and Phuket Island. Massages are offered on the beach for 400 THB or at the spa for a much higher price. As stated in prior posts, this property is rather isolated from Patong (1800 THB round trip taxi ride) and Phuket Town but it is a wonderful place to just relax and get away. Keep that in mind while making your reservation.

This is a place to be if you want to be away in your little own world as Marriott's Phuket Beach Club is 45 minutes away from Patong and there's nothing local within walking distance, except some masseur at the beach and 1-2 stalls selling banana fritters at the front.

We booked a 2-room villa, which does not come with breakfast. The kitchen is well equipped. However, you would need to rent a car to buy the necessary raw materials to cook. Otherwise, be prepared to dine in all the time. For the adventurous, where you would like to taste the local Thai food, I do not suggest you stay here. The nearest Thai restaurant, Kin Dee is not within walking distance and the food there, while decent, is not that cheap either. There's a JP mini-market in front of Kin Dee to get breakfast cereal, milk, coke, butter, instant noodles.

The Kid's Zone and the related activities at Marriott is probably suited for kids aged 8 and below. If your kids are older, they will probably be bored after 1 day, particularly if you have boys. Only a pool table and some electronic games to entertain.

Just completed a 4 day stay at Marriott's Phuket Beach Club. This is a large property which incorporates accommodation for both the Marriott vacation Club Asia Pacific and guests at the JW Marriott Hotel. We stayed in a two bedroom villa which was very well equipped and although some of the furnishings are starting to show some wear and tear they are very spacious, well equipped and kept very clean.

The hotel provides a large range of daily activities to keep guests of all ages occupied. Some of these are free while others incur additional costs. The complex has 3 swimming pools and a very well equipped gymnasium and sauna in the health club. The pools are probably a one minute walk to Mai Khao Beach, which is undeveloped and often deserted, but provides a great opportunity to enjoy the beach without crowds. During the time I was there, a rogue crocodile had been seen swimming in the area around Mai Khao beach so guests were advised not to enter the sea and the beach was red flagged. Even so, most people, myself included, continued to swim or play around in the sea despite the warnings.

Due to the size of the resort, and the large number of rooms and accommodation blocks it is easy to get lost when wandering around and i would advise against exploring after dark (which I did on the first night), as this will virtually guarantee you'll get lost.

This was my first time staying in the hotel (having stayed previously at Marriott Mai Khao beach) and the quality of service and accommodation is top notch and can't be faulted, but there are is a growing number of newer hotels in the Mai Khao area now and this can lead to the feeling that the accommodation, while very comfortable, is starting to show its age and look a little worn in places.
Despite this, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel to anyone wanting to get away from it all and enjoy a quality, relaxing break in Phuket.
