Great little spa hotel with only about 16 rooms, Just had recent facelift. Nice gardens and settings, with good staff. Restaurant reasonable only and resort is about 1-2 km from other restaurants /beach.

On arrival we got a really warm welcome from Tanya and the others, we were given a lovely cool drink whilst we checked in.

The surroundings here are beautiful, the reception and dinning areas are surrounded by pools of water with wooden walk ways. At nights you can hear frogs calling.

The room we stayed in was a really good size with a large bed and an extra bed, it comfortably slept 4 of us. The main bed was extremely comfortable with plenty of pillows. There was a small fridge in the room and a seating area. The room was beautifully decorated in light colours with a wooden floor. Bottled water was provided each day. There was also a kettle with tea and coffee also provided, all this was replenished each day.

The bathroom was a very good size with a bath as well as a separate shower, the toilet had a hygiene wash hose (pretty standard throughout Thailand).

In the bathroom area there is a large wardrobe, there were slippers and robes provided in here.

The towels are changed daily and the toiletries provided are of a nice standard.

Tanya will arrange for any laundry that needs to be done, and both times we used this service the clothes came back beautifully laundered and ironed, if you dont want to use the service at the hotel then there is a laundry right next door as well.

The food here is really good, and Tanya always gave us recommendations on what to have each evening. The dinning area is lovely and peaceful with the water all around, at night they use mosquito smokers.

For breakfast there was a choice of eggs & bacon / omelette, toast and jam and fresh fruit, the pineapple was delicious. This was served with juice and tea and coffee.

Tanya can arrange day trips at a very reasonable cost and also arranged for us to have a massage onsite.

The swimming pool is a good size with loungers outside each of the rooms.

The best thing about this place is the staff, they are really welcoming and made our stay here.

Actually, It's happened to say that, since it was about an hour to find this villas, we were confused with the villas' name between "Anchan Villas" and "Anchan Resort & Spa" which
taxi brought us to was not the right villas that we had made booking, after spent another 1/2 hr. we got you "Anchan Villas"
The Balinese style with rooms access to private swimming pool, located at about 10 minute
away from beach and local community, it's really quite and peachful where the welcome smillingly faces of staff and truely minded services always occur.
It was a great and splendid holiday, we were much delighted to have this pleasure of staying
this lovely villas and would certainly make a return! "The Hidden Paradise"

Appeared charming location with bungalows around pool area. Rooms clean and and starightforward although i would not say its 4 star.Staff and owner very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a little bit limited in choice. Location was a bit far from things and you do need transport. Whilst the beach is a good 10 minute walk away the bars are a bit further. We hired a motorbike for 300 bhts a day. Would like to correct previous comments about roads being dark at night. There are actually street lights and it was safe to walk. Stay was pleasant enough. If owner reads this I hope they take on any niggly bits as constructive criticism as place has a lot of potential.

Although I loved staying at the poolside villas before I have to reconsider after trying to find the resort through their online website to book for our stay there this year. It seems the resort has changed management and behold it is now Anchan Boutique resort and spa. And to go with the boutique name change the prices have doubled since our last stay... I found the person that I spoke to on the phone when i called them after being unable to locate them online barely understood me... since this change I understand other reviews I have read better. This resort was great value for money and a wonderful place to stay before BUT I can't help but feel the boutique name change does not warrant the price doubled and I might be wrong but all the little faults i overlooked because of the great value does not seem so little anymore... the decking / pool tiles etc others have mentioned that I was not fussed about before due to great value... I understand people not staying here in the future... I miss the old management and the place we wanted to go back to. I have to say that I want to review my previous review. Be aware you could have a great time here at twice the price... I personally feel fleeced. Under new management I can't review them based on anything else other than I have said already. Be aware of the Name change, web address change and ridiculous price hike...

We arrived at Anchan late at night after a last minute booking. We were greeted at reception and provided with a complimentary cold glass of juice, with was unexpected and very welcome considering we had just gotten off a flight. The hostess (who is also the owner) hadn't received our booking request at the time but she was immediately able to accomodate our request and gave us a tour of a few of her best rooms. Despite the restaurant being close to closing when we arrived the hostess recommended some dishes that could be prepared whilst we showered and freshened up. Dinner was excellent and reasonably priced. We ended up staying in one of their poolside villas - which was beautiful. The room was spacious, superbly decorated and fitted out with all the usuals - cable TV, a/c, mini bar, plus not so usual organic shampoo/body wash. The bathroom was made from gorgeous black slate and had a large tub/spa. I had a oil massage at the day spa - which was well worth the 1000 baht. Again, the staff were totally accomodating when I asked if I could push back the time only a hour in advance. OK the property is in a relative secluded area so if you're looking for nightlife or lots of activity - this may not be the place for you. The location is quiet, although this was something we liked. The resort is only a 5 minute walk from the beach. They have a shuttle bus, however, we preferred to walk (there are no hills) so this wasn't an issue for us. Overall we were delighted with our stay and can't thank the staff enough for making us feel so welcome. We'd definitely return.

we were rather disappointed when we arrived at the resort lobby which is definitely not impressive as suggested as a Luxury Villa...
We asked for motorbike rental at the resort as it seems to be way off any main roads. Good thing was the receptionist gave us a discount only after we asked for it. When we were ushered to the villa we were not impressed as what was seen on the website. I was hoping for a luxurious room to feel better about this. The room was spacious but not luxurious! I felt quite cheated for being brought all the way out of Kata/Karon area just for this low quality resort.
We tried to make the best out of this by staying out most of the times riding on the motorbike which brings us to everywhere. The road going back to the resort was really dark with no lights at all for certain parts..very scary for 2 person in foreign land actually. Breakfast was really bad!!!!!!!! Pls...do not consider this resort, waste time and money. My previous choice was very much better - Malissa Villa Suites at Karon. 5 star!
