I moved to thailand in august 2011 and when i was visiting pattaya me and my bf would stay in crystal palace , very reasonable prices 800baht a night and fantastic rooms. clean tidy modern couldnt ask for anything more.

although the hotel is on naklua road transport to and from hotel is great. tuk tuk regulary drive past and their only 10 baht ( 20p) to take you to pattaya itself. Dont pay anything over 10baht as the drivers tend to over charge foriegners.

pool - only the pool on the top floor was avaible for when i stayed here. nice pool but need more sunbeds only 10 beds avaibl.e

would stay here again

The hotel consists of 2 buildings. I don't know what rooms in the old building look like, but as far as I heard they are quite small and none of them has a balcony.
I checked out the reviews on this hotel before booking so I preferred a room in the new building (deluxe room). The interior was modern and didn't look tired at all. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were always clean and changed often if not daily. The bathroom had both a tub and a shower, but neither of them had a curtain or glass door, and every time after I took a shower there was a puddle on the floor that didn't dry for a few hours.
Breakfast was always the same, so if you are going to stay 3+ days, be prepared to get tired of the breakfast choice. Plus, I was really surprised not to see any cheese for breakfast.
Complimentary wi-fi in all deluxe rooms is a nice touch.
I would say it is a good value-for-money option, but not now...A part of old building is being demolished at the moment, and if you are seeking peace and tranquility, you'd find none :)

The hotel is nice & new. The rooms are excellently appointed and good value.

However, the front side of the hotel is on the super busy Pattaya/Naklua road & was where I stayed. Actually, I am quite tolerant of standard street noise but across the street from the hotel a small apartment building was cutting floor tile in the early morning through the late evening.

The back side of the hotel SHOULD be quieter as it is well off of the busy Pattaya-Naklua road. But, they are constructing either two new buildings for the hotel or as condos and that building construction noise runs for long hours.

I asked to speak with the front desk manager, Mr Sarawut, who seemed rather irritated at noise complaints which I suspect he gets his fair share out of! Unfortunately, he and his front desk staff weren't all that service oriented (or else, the staff deferred to him). Mr Sarawut acknowledged the continuous noise issues & suggested if it was a problem in the next day, I should check out.

Not a great response but maybe indicative of having too many of these complaints hit him.
