Yeah okay I'm a regular here when I'm in the region...and why not? What makes a place a favourite that you're glad to visit and recommend?
Convenience, ambiance, quality, courtesy...it goes on, and for different people will be different priorities.
But even as a regular coffee and muffin visitor, now and then certain things stand out - like my last breakfast there.
French Toast.
Sounds simple and it should be, yet with a little bit more care and design it struck a chord and imprinted an image on my mind.
A plate of sweet warm bread and fresh fruit with a drizzle of yoghurt, served with pleasantries and prepared by someone who obviously takes pride in all aspects of their work regardless of complexity, and irrespective of the customers situation.
So extraordinary were the flavours and layout that I enquired as to if I was getting special treatment.
"No, that is how it is. If you like it write a review on TripAdvisor."
So I have.

We had a great breakfast, the service was fantastic and the fruit salad was huge, fresh and delicious. The eels were lots of fun to feed too and a little bit different from the normal cafe experience

Ate lunch here while staying in the area. The setting was unbelievable, quirky, colourful and could see how family friendly it would be. We particularly enjoyed feeding the eels. Had the smoked fish open sandwich which came out quickly, was a good sized helping and ingredients were fresh and delicious. I would recommend to any traveller to the area.

This award-winning cafe is a real favourite with locals. The setting is magical with a large safe grassy play area for kids, play equipment and lots of different areas to explore including eels in the nearby stream. The food and coffee are terrific as well. Lots of great outdoor seating. A perfect summer dining spot.

I was there with my wife and a friend. We enjoyed the lovely setting outdoors. There is lots of art to see and the grounds are just stunning. All artwork was made with lots of attention to detail.
We had coffe, tea and a brownie, which was very delicious.
This place is well worth a detour !
