I cannot believe people are complaining about things the resort cannot control such as weather and mosquitos!!
Having stayed at TRS Yucatan the previous year I had high expectations and some were met.
The resort is new, large so plenty of walking around but you can always get a ride regardless where you are in the resort.
The main pool is clean, water temperature is just perfect and they do loads of activities such as volleyball, foam parties, water aerobics and so on,we played volleyball every day,Roger made sure he kept us entertained!
Check-in was speedy, no chance of a free upgrade as it was a b-day trip (they did however put champagne in the room).
We booked with TUI so got a standard junior suite, not sure about the dark, mahogany decor (they could’ve done sooooo much better) but the rooms are spacious,A/C working fine, fancy bathroom with whirlpool bath.
Mini fridge was not re-stocked on one occasion which did not bother us,the room was cleaned daily and we made sure to leave a tip for housekeeping. All staff work incredibly hard so a very well done to them - we tipped everyone from bellboys to drivers to restaurant staff!
Victor (our favourite member of staff) drove us around the resort on many occasions and he made us laugh,he is an asset to the resort, hopefully management will see that!
Thank you Diego for the tasty mimosas, the mezcal shots and all the fancy cocktails we had...I cannot believe people are complaining about things the resort cannot control such as weather and mosquitos!!

Our second favourite member of staff has to be Angel from La Isla Blanca,we nearly cried when we said goodbye! We looked after us,made us laugh,oh what treat to have such wonderful people working at the resort!
We were disappointed to find out that CHIC wasn’t included in your stay (unless you paid $100 per person - the show was free when I stayed at TRS,same over here, unless you’re a TRS guest you’ll have to pay..however, I highly recommend the show as it comes with a 5 course dinner and the entertainment is very enjoyable!) having seen the show already it didn’t really bother me but I really wanted my sister and her husband to have the same experience..we decided to splash the cash on Isla Mujeres instead.
Don’t really understand why people complain about food, you get soooo many delicious choices, everything is super tasty!
The buffalo wings at the sport bar and the velvet cake at the coffee shop were to die for!
Overall - a 9/10 stay and will be returning! More
