This hotel was amazing. It was our first time in Playa Mujeres and undoubtedly it exceeded our expectations. Let's begin talking about our room, it was very spacious and our bed was very comfortable. The resort is big and our room was located close to everything all thanks to Pedro at the front desk. We will like to give special thanks to Lucero and Carolina from administration who organized a special birthday dinner at the Spices restaurant. At the Spices restaurant our personal waiter Reyes was wonderful and he was always there to fulfill our every needs. The pools were amazing the water was at the right temperature and their lazy river, which goes all around the resort is very relaxing and Diego at the blue pool bar was always refilling our drinks before we asked he also gave us a few different drinks to try. In regards to the beach it was pleasant and had little to no waves which is perfect for us. You can literally walk awhile before the water begins to get deep. We would like to give a special shoutout to Hugo and Fidencio at bar martini for being so attentive every night we were there. Alfredo is one of the most humble man you will ever meet. If you want to drink coconut water straight out of a nicely decorated coconut Luis at Bar Revive is your man. Luis was excellent and he brought us coconuts wherever we were at the resort. At the French restaurant called Chef Isabella our waiter Omar Jesus was amazing he even brought us extra desert and recommended us food that was delicious. Special thanks to Iran at the Spanish restaurant Flavor Market for getting jumbo sized shrimp for our appetizer and for being so attentive. Isaac Trujillo the manager at the Agave restaurant was very helpful in recommending a delicious dish for us and Diana and Hugo our waiters for being so attentive and always asking if there was anything they can do to make our stay more pleasant.
Finally we would like to extend our gratitude to Sarvesh the chef at the Basmati restaurant, which serves Indian food. It was our first time eating at a Indian restaurant anywhere so we were a bit skeptical and our waiter noticed and told the chef and he came out of the kitchen and came to our table. Sarvesh told us he will prepare a special appetizer and entree for us, which were not on the menu. We honestly can say it was one of the best food we have eaten in a while it completely blew us away. Moments like these are what make traveling worthwhile and a must for everyone.
In conclusion, our stay at Excellence was out of this world and we will definitely recommend and return to this paradise on Earth. We apologize if we talked a lot about the restaurant and the people that work at Excellence, but they are the ones responsible for making you feel amazing.More
