Overnight stop after travelling for 11 hours ... What a sight for sore eyes! Sebastian was most welcoming despite our late arrival and we decided to have our evening meal immediately. What wonderful food! Can thoroughly recommend the home made rice pudding with toffee sauce! Room was delightful and very comfortable and we too can recommend the brioche for breakfast. If only we could have stayed for longer ... Definitely visit here again.

This is an ideal stop in the midst of the French countryside set within a small village. Approx 1 hour from Calais the converted stables of a Chateau make a perfect first or last night stay. The service is friendly and efficient, the rooms spacious and well appointed though sound insulation is not up to what some might expect. The restaurant serves fantastic traditional French cuisine and is popular with locals and tourists alike. All in All a wonderful stay.

An amazing room(1)with the well and 6ft round bath

Dinner & breakfast were stunning and good value....fresh brioche at breakfast was a highlight of our whole trip

Wine was fairly priced from 20eu and most under 30.

Grounds and chateau made an excellent backdrop, and the staff were spot on and in keeping with the hotel, not stuffy and with happy to hel

We have even tried to go back again with some friends, but it was booked up...do not hesitate, book early!

The Cour de Rémi, a restaurant with rooms, is set in the former stables of the château. It was recommended in The Times (9th February, 2013) as one of Europe’s best hotels under £100. The article said that there were 7 rooms in the château, whereas that is a private residence and there are four rooms in the stables. My room was massive, and the shower room (with “Italian” shower) was larger than my London bedroom! It was 85 euro the night plus 12.50 euro for breakfast.

The restaurant has a blackboard with the three course menu (30 euro), or you may have individual courses – starter 10 euro; main course 18 euro; pudding 8 euro. We had “crème d’haricots tarbais au choriso” and “asperges blanches, vinaigrette moutardée, lard paysan” followed by “Dos de cabillaud en croûte dorée” and “poulet fermier à la crème d’échalote”. All nicely cooked and presented. We finished with Maroilles fermier.

A very useful place to stay before catching the morning ferry from Calais, or making it the first night on arriving in France. With the few bedrooms booking is essential.

A stunning hotel and restaurant in a tiny village in the French countryside. We stayed in la maison du flore which has been beautifully renovated with a stylish, rustic feel. Our room had its own little terrace area, nespresso machine and a luxurious bathroom with a huge freestanding granite bath and walk in rain shower.

I would travel from London to la Cour de Remi just for one meal. Our meals were better than some I have had in top restaurants in London. It is fantastic value. The breakfasts, especially the warm loaf of brioche and jams, were delicious too.

We would highly recommend a stay here!

Situated about a one hour drive south of Calais, this is the ideal place to break up a journey. The bedrooms are enormous, very clean and tastefully decorated. But, the highlight is the food. In particular breakfast is sensational. Warm home made brioche, home made jams, home made yoghurt, local ham and cheese and excellent coffee. Dinner was very nice, the quality of food and cooking was excellent, but as the only residents of the hotel it was somewhat lacking in atmosphere. Friendly, attentive service. I would recommend this for a stop over, but it is very quiet and there is nothing else at all in the local area.
