The staff couldn't do enough, the location was excellent, the rooms were brilliant, lovely shower, the bed was comfy and the breakfast was lovely. I am going to book up for next year. Excellent value for money.

We weren't lucky enough to have one of the updated rooms so the only negative is that it was a bit overpriced to be honest.

We stayed on the way back up from La Rochelle to Calais and arrived quite late so didn't really see much of the area.

It certainly has the American Motel feel to it and definately felt quite spooky at the end of the corridor upstairs.

Got to be better than a stay in a Formula one but would have been better value if we had one of he new rooms.

Room Tip: Try and ask for a newly refurbished one if available.

We were a group of 8 cyclists staying here on our way to Paris. At the end of a hard day in the saddle the owner gave us a great welcome and without us asking immediately found us a store room where we could lock up our bikes. The hotel is in need of a lick of paint but this just adds to the character. It has a solid feel and was very quiet - no creaky floor boards here! The "don't stay here review" is just ridiculous - it's great. All our party thought it was the best of the 4 hotels we stayed in. Full of character and in a nice rural setting. Get a room at the back of the hotel and you have a balcony view to the north.

Room Tip: I'd suggest a room at the back facing north - you get a balcony. It was swelteringly hot at the...

I stayed at the hotel during my tour of French WWII sites and I was impressed with the helpfulness of the staff, (especially when I had trouble hooking into their Internet). The hotel does not look like much from the outside, (kind of like an old American Road House) but the place is quite inviting on the inside. The only downside was that the downstairs rooms were extremely cold and there was no way to control the temperature. I was the only guest in the hotel that night, (other than the sheep, which were a surprise the next morning, when I woke up and saw them staring at me through the window from the back yard). I never ate at the restaurant, though the food still smell good.

From the outside, this hotel looks uninviting. However our room was updated, simple, yet worked out fine. We had booked at the Kyraid but when we arrived the Kyraid said their computer made a mistake and booked us when they were full already. They asked us to seek out this hotel when it was getting late. The room wasn't that different from typical Kyraid rooms.

We pulled up to this hotel and we were actually frightened to go in it looks like a hotel in a horror film. We went inside - our rooms didnt lock and i checked the undersheet and it was filthy, we couldnt stay and had to traipse round looking for another hotel. Do not book this hotel it is not clean and is scary!

I stayed here with a tour - so perhaps the value was good - but this motel is on the low end of two star hotels and is in the middle of nowhere. I really can't recall what the breakfast was like - the dinner was pretty good. I was on the top floor (1st etage in France) so didn't get any noise from above but could hear my neighbors talking. The room was shabby and bare bones and not somewhere you would want to spend a minute except to sleep/bathe/dress. There was no phone in my room and you needed to be a rocket scientist to figure out how to use the remote. There was no CNN on the t.v. even though they advertised having it. The shower/hot water was fine.
