The villa exceeded our expectations: the photos hardly do it justice. The setting is quite idyllic with an infinity pool overlooking the lagoon. The rooms are large with plenty of storage and very well equipped, from cocktail shakers to yoga mats the attention to detail is impressive. The grounds are extensive and so the villa is very private. One is aware that there are neighbours but we rarely saw or heard anyone adding to the sense of tranquility .
We felt very safe knowing that there were security guards on duty at the entrance to the village.
Shops and restaurants are around a 15 minute walk.
We visited the elephant sanctuary and Soi Dog Home and used the taxi service recommended by the villa. The service was excellent, they responded to our email requests almost immediately and were very friendly and helpful.
We also took advantage of the recommended massage service- brilliant Thai massage and very friendly service.
We had planned to visit the beach but found being in and around the villa pool so enjoyable we didn’t make it! Maybe next time .
I would highly recommend the villa and we hope to return next year.
A beautiful peaceful spot surrounded by nature and free from noise .
The photos do not do this place justice , and it really has everything you could possibly need and more.............and if you are rude enough to ask for more ( like me requesting Yoga mats ) your Host Sharon, could not be more obliging.
We hired a car at the airport, it was an easy journey to the house. I would recommend you have a car for this villa, just for the freedom it gives you.........although taxis are cheap anyway .
Many of the islands best beaches and restaurants and nightlife are just a short drive away, but the villa makes you feel like you are a million miles away from all other holiday makers
I never go to the same place twice, but I would seriously think about staying here again
Quiet location in a gated community. everything you could possibly need in the house, including a visit from Rosie the dog and hungry fish in the lagoon. The recommended taxi company was incredibly efficient and the massage company excellent. Pool fabulous, bedrooms enormous, not far from the beach and within a taxi ride of all the major attractions in Phuket.
Owners very helpful and efficient. We hope to return next year.
This was our second stay at this villa and it was as lovely as before. Beautiful villa and pool on a secure gated development (the security guards salute you as you pass through the gates on your way in and out!) Everything you need is at the villa and with lots of restaurants and bars just down the road it truly is an amazing place to stay. We can't wait to come back - thank you again for letting us stay in your lovely home. Diane, Scott and Naomi
This is another return visit for us to Baan Nai Fun, a truly stunning villa with enough attention to detail to make your time here truly relaxing. It has a very homely feel throughout the villa and is equipped to a very high standard.
We would recommend this to anyone looking for a luxury holiday location as a base to unwind and explore the lovely village of Rawai which has an abundance of excellent local and international restaurants.
The excellent beach at Nai Harn is only a 5 minute drive away and is very clean and staffed with lifeguards throughout the year.
We rented this villa for two weeks in August 2017 , about an hour transfer from Phuket Airport (arranged by the villa). After a long flight arriving at the villa was magical...we entered the Nai Harn Baan Bua development,i say development its so well spaced we didn't see anyone else!! . Access is security controlled where you are greeted by saluting security guards!..The villa is tastefully decorated and stunning both inside and out , roomy and comfortable, three double air conditioned rooms , two en-suite equally beautiful.Large lounge and kitchen dining room, the owner had even left refreshments and supplies for us in the fridge...
The gardens that stretch around the villa are immaculate ,well laid out overlooking the lagoon. The infinity pool has prime location with great views with four sun loungers close at hand . An added bonus of the 'Sala' - outside covered terrace area with chairs and a table large enough to dine on in full view of the lagoon and pool . In a separate building is the 'Study' equipped with yet another library and desk top and printer for guest use.
This villa is fully equipped , in fact probably better than your own home fresh water from a spring - nothing was needed even down to a library, coffee maker, towels and snorkeling equipment, WiFi and Satellite TV, first aid kit and cocktail shaker!
The villa is not overlooked and private and peaceful , abundant in wildlife including 'Rosie' the neighbors dog , super friendly, well trained , she visited often for her dog treats!.
A short walk 10-15 mins(or a 4 min drive) to the main village of Nai Harn and its many restaurants and cafes, Shakers, M&M Pizzeria, Wilsons, Portifino to mention a few, also an amazing Mexican that doesn't look much from the outside but the food is superb. Two family marts and a 7Eleven have most things you need with a couple pharmacy's close by with English speaking staff. Nai Harn beach (one of the top 3 beaches in Asia) is walkable but best advised to get a hire car or use the villas own taxi driver Mr Suk who is always on hand if required. A hire car was available at a special rate for villa guests at 800 baht a day and even dropped off and collected at the villa by Mr Khun. Well worth using, used it for 10 days and explored all over including Patong, Kata and Karon. If you are a competent driver then its no problem in Thailand, just watch out for moped coming from all directions....literally!.
Communication by Sharon the owner was great , she even took us out on a drive so we could get our bearings around the local area pointing out different areas and answering any questions as only a resident could. Sharon was always on hand if required , also arranged our boat trip on a traditional long-tail boat with Mr Wang where we spent the day island hopping and snorkeling on Koh Hey and Bon Island for as long as we wanted, again at a special rate for guests.
So much to say a perfect holiday and service from this villa , fab location ,safe and secure, tranquil and stunning , we were sorry to leave.
Thank you for an amazing time with memories that will last until we return again!
If your reading this then you don't need to book anywhere else !! five stars..
We are a family of four, 2 adults and 2 children aged 10 and 11. We stayed at this beautiful villa for 16 nights in July 2017.
The owners couldn't have been more helpful, even arranging our hire car for us.
We have rented villas in Thailand before and Baan Nai Fun is easily the best we've experienced to date.
The house comprises three large bedrooms, each with comfy double beds, and a huge high-ceilinged living/dining/kitchen area. There are three bathrooms plus a fourth outside by the pool. The villa also has a separate study/sitting room.
Facilities wise this villa has absolutely everything you could need. A large TV in the living room with numerous English speaking channels, a computer in the study, and Wi-Fi throughout.
The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils and includes a dishwasher, microwave, oven and hob, large fridge freezer, and toaster, kettle etc.
There is a utility room with washing machine and all sorts of extras such as pool towels, beach towels, and toys and bags for the pool and beach.
There are two separate safes for securing valuables, and air conditioning in every room.
The pool is large and well maintained and surrounded by lush gardens, with a small lake to the front. The property receives a maid service three times a week and also visits from pool and garden maintenance staff.
The villa sits in a relaxed, gated community with access monitored by security personnel 24 hours.
For anyone unfamiliar with the island of Phuket, this villa is situated at its southern tip near to Nai Harn beach. This is a quiet, very pleasant area, with numerous restaurants nearby.
Taxis are readily available but to really explore the island a car is recommended. Don't let the chaotic nature of Thailands roads put you off, any competent driver can easily get about the island by road.
During our stay we visited the main towns of Phuket, Patong, Karon, Kata, and Rawai.
Sights included the Big Buddha, Bang Pae Waterfall and the Gibbon Rehabilitation centre, Kathu waterfall, and the beaches at Nai Harn and Yanui. We even took the kids go-karting at a track just east of Patong.
Most towns have night markets and Phuket town has a huge weekend night market.
Highly recommended is a boat tour of Phang Nga Bay. This can be done by joining one of the many tours or, as we did, renting your own boat at the pier at Ao Po.
All in all Phuket has much to offer, and staying at Baan Nai Fun is the best way to experience it all.
