Description: The Bumble Bee in Gloucester is a country pub & dining oozing rural charm and rustic character. Our picturesque surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for savouring the hearty, seasonal pub-food on our menu, and the carefully nurtured cask ales and fine wines gracing our bar. We are proud to welcome well behaved dogs into our bar area for those seeking a place to enjoy some food Book a table online and enjoy a spot by our roaring log-fire. Or make the best of the British summertime by eating alfresco in our pretty beer garden. What ever the time of year, you will always find a warm welcome at the Bumblebee.

This is within the grounds of a Holiday Inn Express so just a short stroll across the car park but it did seem to attract non residents too.
We ordered a jug of Pimms so glasses were brought separately. One was dirty. This was disappointing.
The waitress was on her first day and it was a pleasure to have her wait on us. I am sure she will be an asset to the team.
The food was excellent. We all had a James Martin pie and we really enjoyed them. Managed to squeeze in a pudding as well! Yummy.
Next time we are travelling past we will certainly return to eat here.

We were staying overnight at the nearby Holiday Inn on our way to Devon and thought it would be a nice place to eat,so we booked a table on line.
A very easy job done we looked forward to our visit.
We were greeted and shown to our table and within a couple of minutes asked if we would like drinks.
The service throughout our evening and the quality of our meals can only be described as very good Indeed.
We were so happy with the overall experience that we have pre booked at the otter kegworth prior to our next holiday when we fly from EMA.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn at Quedgely and ate at the nearby Bumble Bee pub. We had such good meals on the first two evenings that we booked for the following night, a Saturday. Our first visits were excellent with the waitress liaising with the chef to provide me with good coeliac variations from the menu. On the Saturday the bar was crowded.A different waitress was on and she duly took our order. I had brought my own gluten free gravy so I asked for the same hot water as I had previously and my husband, a vegetarian, egg chips & peas. I didn't get my hot water and he got a mixture of vegetables which he didn't order and no peas! We queried the bill when it arrived and immediately the vegetables were deducted arrived. The waitress tried very hard but the chef was obviously busy. Our friends who were with us were offered vouchers for the next evening. Good pub, off night.

Have been going here every couple of weeks for quite a few years.find menu has a pretty good selection, but few occasions where items have been unavailable which can be annoying as weren't told this until ready to order. Love the whale of a fish and chips which is good value and big size portion.however visited last week and was disappointed with it,batter was soggy and undercooked inside and hard outside whereas usually lovely and light.waiter didn't seem very interested in our comments which is a shame as we are regulars and normally praise the food.light bites menu is good value, but not huge range.would have left 4or5star rating previously, but things not been as good lately ,since some of the really nice lunchtime staff have left.man who served us last time was obviously stressed and short staffed, but in that environment you have to keep smiling to customers.will see how it goes next visit and leave better review if improves,if not will have to try somewhere else in future

Beer and food was good although expensive and the service, whilst friendly was sporadic and slow (eg waited too long for plates to be cleared and a further 20 mins for child´s ice cream to arrive)
