We were made most welcome at this hotel and the staff were most helpful. The room was tidy and clean and the bed excellent. The morning breakfast was very extensive and you could eat as much as you wanted (or needed). Highly recommended

I stopped overnight on a business trip. This is always one of the better Holiday Inn Express Hotels, but following a recent refurbishment program, I think that this is the best in the UK.
The welcome is polite and efficient. My room was extremely well decorated, well maintained and comfortable. You have everything you need for a great night’s sleep and you can relax in comfort.
The breakfast is always first class and again you have all you need or can eat included. There is a large car park and there is a Pub / Restaurant next door.
However, what makes this a really standout hotel is its staff. They are truly a team and they always go the extra mile. Unlike some other IHG hotels, the team here are so good and they support each other.

Cheap rates clean room with comfy bed , no air con unfortunately so was stifling hot . The staff were all very pleasent and the breakfast was ok .
Do not buy anything from the little fridge they have in reception as a small sandwich will set you back £5 while a ginsters pasty was £3.60 . I would travel a bit further than the bumble bee next door to eat which was AWFUL we found the barn owl to be very nice with 2 for 1 offers on a huge range of specials

I am sorry however to hear you found our vending prices a little steep with sandwiches priced at £3.60 small or £5 large, I will pass your comments on to our General Manager to see if we can look into that. As per the pub next door, please feel free to leave them a review as being a separate company they have their own Trip Advisor page but as we care about our guests we have a few hidden treasures we would be more than welcome to recommend, all within a 5 minute drive and a menu for your perusal before you decide. Just ask at reception and we will be more than happy to help.
I hope we have the opportunity to welcome you back again and please let me know if you would like to know where we would recommend for some great food! Failing that we do make a great 14" pizza in the hotel for only £11.50 ;-)

stayed here 2 times in may/june due family illness and the hotel is approx. 15 mins drive from the Gloucester royal hospital
front desk staff were friendly and fast at check in..room itself was clean without any funny smells,beds were comfortable with very good black out certains.shower was very good but no bathtub...the other thing that is missing is a fridge but theres a ice maker on the ground floor..breakfast is also good for 3 star hotel..all in all I would stay here again

Yes it is correct that to save space in the rooms we do not have individual fridges however space permitting if you need anything stored just ask at reception and if we can we will.

Have stayed in few holiday inns and have been very pleased. I requested a quiet room and got one not disturbed by noise at all. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good.
The Hotel lobby and dinning area were very cool with air conditioning.
However, for us the room was very hot and the window could only be opened very slightly which dosen't allow much air through, the day temp was 24. I would not recommend staying here during hot weather, unless heat is ok with you. There is a fan but its too noisy to use overnight. The bathroom could have been a little cleaner around the skirting of the shower corners ECT.

I am sorry to hear that you had trouble with the hotels temperature, we do try our best to adapt the public areas temperature to every guests preference which can sometimes be hard, please remember though if you mention to the staff we can adjust it for you. Unfortunately we are yet to have air-conditioning fitted in each room and therefore have supplied fans but we also have a few other tricks up our sleeves so please mention to a member of staff if uncomfortable and we will do our upmost to try to help you.
