My partner and I stayed here for two nights at the end of July. We found this hotel very good with a friendly welcome on arrival. We had a ground floor room overlooking the car park which suited us as it was a nice quiet room, clean and roomy. Car parking was easy and there was a pub next door which did meals if required. A short walk from the hotel is a park and ride park with a choice of three buses into Gloucester City Center, a place worth a visit.The following morning we were treated to a small but adequate buffet breakfast a very good touch. As this is a good hotel as a base to visit several places we have already booked to go back in October. The only minor criticism is that as it is a good base for touring it would be nice to have some drawer space if you staying longer than one or two nights, but it is worth considering staying here.

When we were checking in a gentleman was at reception complaining that despite informing staff earlier that there were false eyelashes on the floor from the previous occupant- they were still there - didn't bode well.....

No eyelashes in our room but the surfaces were dusty and the notepad beside the bed was written on- assume by the previous occupants

We needed a plug by the bed - there are none but we were provided with an extension lead

The tv is low so if you and your partner 'don't lie right' one of you can't see the telly!

Kept running out of everything at breakfast- amazingly everyone was taking this in their stride and were 'very accepting' mainly I think because it was obvious that the staff were doing their best

Overall not a good experience and expensive for what you got

Need more staff and either better housekeeping staff or allow them more time per room - not sure which is the problem/ solution
