Beautiful pub, wonderful views, amazing local lager and the food was delicious. We only wish we had a pub like this where we live.

“Cotswold Delight”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 July 2014

Ebrington is a charming village perched high on the edge of the Cotswold Escarpment just two miles east of Chipping Campden. In your mind`s eye you could picture in the middle of the village a 17th century Cotswold Inn. And you will find it here. Standing in the centre with a pretty group of thatched stone cottages nearby this is pub food at its finest. A Camra winner as well as having two AA rosettes and a Michelin mention, this is the place to spend a long lunch.
There is a choice of rooms in which to dine either in the bar or in one of the stone flagged spaces leading to the gardens outside. The menu features locally sourced ingredients as well as blackboard specials. Our party enjoyed the blow-torched fillet of herring and the pork with black pudding but there is plenty of choice as well as the speciality beers and an extensive wine list. If you are not driving the house wines are served French style in litre carafes.Watching over the diners is a splendid stuffed fox with an imperious gaze who might a moment ago been a character in Wind in the Willows. You would expect dogs to be welcome and they are. All in all you will not forget your meal at the Ebrington Arms tucked away on the Cotswold Escarpment.

“Smart pub in Cotswold village”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 July 2014

We stopped here for lunch after visiting the nearby Hidcote Gardens. It is a very smart pub with a small car park and attractive garden area. We eat in the bar which has a huge inglenook fireplace but there are other rooms to dine in which are also very attractive. The gazpacho soup was delicious as was the wonderful home-made bread. My husband had very good chicken caesar salad. My French rose (by the glass) was very good. It certainly deserves its reputation.

“très bon”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 July 2014

I ordered the tomato salade and lamb the first time I was there. Both were delicious but the portions were really small and I was still hungry so I had to order desert. The second night I had the great fish and chips . They were soo good and huge. No need for desert that night !
