Suprisingly good restaurant with emphasis on freshly cooked high quality local produce. The menu was inventive and wine list excellent.. We enjoyed the bar and the latest revamped bedroom was delightful. Would defintely visit again !

It is a pub by the side of a busy main road. It is not a 4 star. As a busy business traveler this is not a suitable place for a relaxing stay or to get work done. Its tatty and noisy, with 70s bathrooms. I made a mistake booking this one and wont do it again. To make it worse, my politely put objections were ignored and the strict cancellation policy enforced.

We are ideally situated just set back from the main A46 with great access to Cheltenham, Evesham, Tewkesbury and with the M5 junction 9 only 9 minutes away. The AA has visited twice in the last 2 years and classified us both times as a 4* Inn, which is a more affordable, less formal and more friendly category than a 4* Hotel, but still with great food, meeting rooms and free wi-fi available throughout.
We are in the process of upgrading all parts of our family owned Inn, including all of the ensuites. This guest booked one of our Standard rooms with an older shower room, but was offered 2 upgraded alternative rooms with brand new ensuites for the same price.
Our cancellation policy is a full refund without question if a room is cancelled at least 48 hours in advance, but unfortunately we cannot guarantee to re-let a room on the day of the booking itself.
We are sorry we are not what he was looking for, however, we are really pleased he praised our staff on their service and friendliness despite his problems.

We stayed at the Beckford Inn for two nights in July. As a family of 5, it can be difficult to find space without paying an arm and a leg. The manager at the Beckford Inn was very accomodating about offering us two rooms near one another at rates that were not unreasonable. The Inn was charming, and much of it had recently been redone.

We ended up eating two dinners at the Inn, and were very pleased each night. The steaks were excellent, and there was a delicious mushroom appetizer we ordered twice. The vegetables on the side had clearly been recently picked from the extensive garden out back. In the morning, the Inn provided a full English breakfast, waffles, cereal, toast-- the works-- and offered good advice about interesting things to see in the Cotswolds. We spent one day in Stratford-upon-Avon and the next visiting Tewkesbury Abbey and the charming villages of Broadway, Stow-on-the-Wold, Moreton-In-Marsh, etc. The location of the Inn was perfect for these day trips, and it provided a lovely place to return to in the evening. The staff could not have been nicer, but were not interfering in any way. This is a place we are pleased to recommend and would happily return to.

The weather was getting bad (snow) and I was worried about getting back home safely, it was quite late in the day so I decided to look for somewhere to stay. I found the Beckford Inn quite by accident as it is not very well signposted (A HIDDEN GEM) from the road but when I walked through the front door into the bar area I was struck by this lovely feeling of wellbeing. I decided to have a pint of London Pride which was beautiful, had a look at the menu which really made me decide that I really HAD to stay here, and when I was quoted £60 B&B for a single room I thought that this really was going to be superb - and I was NOT wrong!!!! They even upgraded me to a premium room.
I had a bowl of the chefs homemade Oxtail Soup and his Chicken Liver Parfait to start
(I was hungry), and then I had some Roast local Pheasant with a whisky sauce (I think) for my main and I was just totally bowled over by how superb EVERYTHING was.
I was told by the manager that they had just recently purchased the Beckford off the administrators and that they were busy trying to reestablish the business by improving everything and refurbishing the bedrooms. My bedroom was lovely with a fabulous new luxury shower room and a flat screen television.
I was worried about how honest I should be with my wife about my night away, because if I had told her what a fabulous time I had had without her I would have been in the doghouse for months - all I told her was that I found a nice place to take her for a weekend in the new year and she was thrilled. I've booked a weekend and the manager even gave me the sunday night for free.
IF ANY OF YOU GET A CHANCE - YOU HAVE GOT TO CHECK THIS PLACE OUT.

Stayed here as part of a party, overnight plus dinner. Very good accomodation with value for money room, clean, comfortable and well appointed, though bathroom and decor a little tired. But what really made the stay was the quality and value of the food. A tremendous menu with emphasis on traditional fare: rabbit, oxtail, ham hock as well as lovely steaks. Breakfasts were wonderful too. Faultless service.
