“A resounding success”
Reviewed 16 August 2014

The Farmhouse was the ideal setting for our family get-together. The galley style kitchen was well stocked, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom/shower rooms of a good standard. There were enough books to open a branch library and there was a cupboard full of board games. The huge living/dining room was comfortably furnished and opened on to a walled garden where there was plenty of outdoor seating and two large tables. The garden also contained a playhouse much used by our youngest family member.

The on-site facilities were voted a great success by adults and children alike. The indoor swimming pool was very popular as was the games room. Upstairs over the games room was a space where skittles can be played. Outside there was a tennis court (racquets & balls supplied), and a boules piste. For the children there were various climbing frames, slides & swings dotted around the site.

When we booked we were sent a mass of information by Pauline, giving places of interest to visit, local pubs, restaurants and take-aways, and details of caterers who would prepare meals specifically for you.

We loved the Farmhouse and would happily recommend it.

We have been going to Luckley for many years - 8 families so 16 adults and lots of children. The accommodation is perfect for big groups with plenty of space to eat and sleep with the added bonus of the indoor pool and outdoor tennis court. Admittedly, we tend not to move out of the farm all weekend as we are catching up and enjoying the facilities so I could not comment on the surrounding area although there is incredibly beautiful scenery and the farm is certainly in an idyllic, quiet spot. The owners are extremely helpful and each year we notice improvements in the decor etc and so they clearly work hard to improve the farm. I have given 4 stars instead of 5 as the accommodation is not luxurious but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to large groups looking for a relaxing weekend.

Stayed here in the Manor House with 5 friends Monday to Friday. We all arrived from different parts of the country but found it with no problems. Pauline was there to greet us and show us round the property but left us alone after that unless we needed her. Great bedrooms(we had one each) and bathrooms. Kitchen facilities fab, we did most of our own catering. We had great weather so had breakfast outside in the sun.
Lots of places to visit, Stowe on the Wold, Moreton, Hidcote Gardens etc so you do need a car. Would definitely come again.

We spent 3 nights with a group of nine friends in the Granary which sleeps 12. The Granary has a beautiful view over the area, and is extremely well-equipped, with plenty of space. It is quiet and we could relax and enjoy a country weekend. The bedrooms are comfortable, although not luxurious. There are areas nearby for walking and visiting the beautiful villages of the Cotswolds.

We organised to have the farmhouse / Granary and Additional rooms for our family and friends to be togerther prior to my daughters wedding taking place a few miles away.
It was ideal as all the rooms are so large and everybody's needs were well catered for. All the children and some of the adult really enjoyed the added bonus of the swimming pool. The farmhouse was large enough for everybody to be in one place to enjoy a good BBQ.
The setting is lovely and ideal for exploring the area. There were plenty of bathrooms in the farmhouse and most of thre rooms have an ensuite in the Granary. All additional rooms have a small ensuite.
This venue is an ideal place for large groups to be together, but with out being on top of each other.Great to have a games room as well.

For my wife's 70th birthday twelve of us enjoyed a wonderful four days at Luckley farmhouse. The youngest grandchild is aged three and grandad is approaching his 74th birthday and we found that all ages were catered for. The accommodation was roomy and comfortable while the activities and facilities available were ideal for all ages. The setting is lovely and within easy reach of many of Cotswold's attractions.

For a friends hen weekend (35people) I booked both cottages (both sleep 12) as well as the additional self contained rooms (6 rooms for two and a futon available for third guest)
The farmhouse had a massive living room, kitchen and downstairs toilet, first floor had a bathroom and few rooms then on the 2nd floor was another two rooms and bathroom. Although none were en suite I don't think this was much of a problem as there were two bathrooms in total and a toilet.

Granary building had few standard ensuites. 6 bedrooms downstairs, upstairs was an open plan living room kitchen which was also big enough for the group to squeeze in. There was also a decking area/balcony which had steps down to a patio area/ BBQ and led onto a field which we played rounders on (wasn't a flat field but we made do)

Additional rooms were all self contained all with great views of the area.

Games room was great- table tennis, table football, pool and air hockey. There is also a tennis court which we used, the swimming pool was out of action due to the time of year.

Booking the cottage was easy, the information I had from luckley about local places to eat etc was brilliant, when I arrived I was shown around and met Pauline who was very helpful. We would definitely stay again with friends or family and it worked out great value for money.. Perfect venue for what we needed
