We found this place on an offer from KGB. We arrived in the pub bar at lunchtime on fathers day to find a very busy place and busy staff. I expected that we would be asked to come back later as I thought we were early for checking in but we were shown to our rooms with a smile.
The double room was compact but perfectly formed with everything that you would need, it was well decorated and very clean and the bed was just wonderful, better than mine at home. The pub does not do evening meals on Sunday but they offered to prepare a Sunday Lunch for us to eat later in the evening and it was excellent.
Breakfast was good and I was sorry that we had to leave. I'm sure we will stay there again.
The village was very quaint with the Heart of England Way running straight through and plenty of other footpaths if you are into walking.
The only downfall, if you could call it that, is that there is not a car park but there is was adequate on road parking when we arrived on a busy Sunday afternoon.

Room Tip: as far as I know there are only two rooms, a double and a twin. We had the double and it was very go...

Long borough is the most delightful viiiage with one shop/post office/cafe/,one church and most important one pub The Coach and Horses. You will love this genuine English pub,as soon as you walk in you can see the lovely big stone fireplace and the flagged floor, just a really welcoming area.
You are welcomed by the young very attractive Landlady, who is working so hard to make her pub a real success.I have rarly seen anyone work so hard, she must have cooked at least 14 meals for some visiting opera singers and run the bar single handed one night ,amazing!11111
The pub is spotless downstairs and the rooms are simple and immaculate, you will have a great stay with Anna at the Coach and Horses.

A rare chance to stay in one of the 2 rooms available - tip - phone early to book your stay as they have many repeat customers.........
As soon as IT walked in on a Sunday lunchtime I knew this was my kinda place
With a genuine village olde pub feel and atmosphere and the welcoming smile of the barmaid I already felt at home minutes later enjoying a cold draught cider with an am zing view past the front beer gartden past to the main village street of old houses, monument and church - just in time to hear it chime 2pm
The relaxed visit continued for 3 days with clean rooms, vcomfy beds, real log fire, quirky shaped bar and friendly service
I could write much more - but will leave it to you to find this gem - just 3 miles from Stow on the Wold
