We found this place on an offer from KGB. We arrived in the pub bar at lunchtime on fathers day to find a very busy place and busy staff. I expected that we would be asked to come back later as I thought we were early for checking in but we were shown to our rooms with a smile.
The double room was compact but perfectly formed with everything that you would need, it was well decorated and very clean and the bed was just wonderful, better than mine at home. The pub does not do evening meals on Sunday but they offered to prepare a Sunday Lunch for us to eat later in the evening and it was excellent.
Breakfast was good and I was sorry that we had to leave. I'm sure we will stay there again.
The village was very quaint with the Heart of England Way running straight through and plenty of other footpaths if you are into walking.
The only downfall, if you could call it that, is that there is not a car park but there is was adequate on road parking when we arrived on a busy Sunday afternoon.
