Stayed at the sun club last year and after reading the reviews i was abit worried about going. Dont listen to them. We had an amazing time and it was one of the best holidays ive been on. The staff are amazing especially the entertainment staff. The shows they put on at night are amazing and they do a fantastic job of keeping everyone entertained. The pools are all a good size. The food was good. Had loads of different choices so you would never go hungry. Loved the freshly made pancakes in the morning. The only problem we had was the rooms. They were tiny but you dont go on holiday to stay in your room so wasnt a big deal. We upgraded before we went through our travel company but when we got there they had no knowledge of it so we never got it. The staff were happy enough to move us for a fee. If you do want to upgrade do it when you get there. The resort is quite abit away from the main town or a beach but there is a bus that takes you throughout the day.Think is a couple of euros return. I loved this hotel and will be looking forward to returning real soon.

Thank you for reviewing our resort.
We are very pleased you enjoyed your holiday and the food at our resort so much.
We will pass on your review to the whole team at Sun Club Eldorado and especially to the entertainment team to motivate them to keep performing great shows for future guests.
Only if there is availability upon the arrival of future guests there is a possibility to upgrade with a supplement. We hope to welcome you back in the following year in our resort.

We booked our superior studio primarily because it was at the top of the resort in a quiet corner that had a lovely shallow pool almost on our doorstep.
The peace and quiet lasted for all of 4 hrs, unbeknownst to us there was aprox 4-500 Spanish students booked in at the same time and every one of them descended on our lovely quiet pool and completely took it over cramming the bars so that it was impossible to get served and taking possession of every available sunbed.
From about 1pm till about 8pm there is what is described as a pool party that is laid on for the students, from what I witnessed it was more a case of let's see who can get p----ed the quickest and cavort about in next to nothing.
I have to say at this point that, I am sure if it was 4-500 British students partying then the whole resort would have probably been trashed,my problem is not with the students but with the management that make no mention on their website that every yr at this time that there are hundreds of Spanish students booked in to the resort to take part in what I would describe as their version of the American spring break.
I would like to have had the choice on knowing the facts whether to book or not,and I have to say, despite the beautiful surroundings, great food and entertainment I would never have booked a holiday knowing I would be sharing it with hundreds of hormonal teenagers.

Thank you for your review.
We are sorry for your inconvenience led by the presence of the spanish student in our hotel.
We don't know if we will have the students with us next year or not.
We will evaluate the situation and make appropriate decisions and take appropriate measures regarding the following year. Future guests don't need to worry about the students because they were only here the last 2 weeks of June. Guests who require more information about the possible presence of students next year can always contact us on eldorado@sunclub.es.

We arrived after a 2hr 30 min transfer Hungary and thirsty to be told by the rude receptionist there's nothing you can have to eat the restaurant has closed, I asked if we could buy food but this was not possible, she than gave me a small bottle of water and 3 biscuits. We was however allowed to buy a drink at midnight from the bar which was 5 euros for a vodka and coke and a beer in a small plastic cup. We had a good time on this holiday but for all the wrong reasons. ( we just laughed everything off). I fell down a man hole, (so do not stand on any of the covers). The maid left our door unlocked one day and on another day we had no electricity in our little broom cupboard, The nightly entertainment was funny but for all the wrong reasons even though the entertainment team do work very hard. The food was repetitive but edible What made our holiday was the 2 lovely couples we met. Otherwise I think I would of gone stir crazy in what can only be described as but links in the sun

Room Tip: Take a travel jug and mosquito repellent

Thank you for your review.
We are sorry you didn't enjoy our resort during your stay with us.
When guests arrive at night before 11pm we send them to our Barco bar to have pizza, cold snacks and salad. After 11pm we give our guests biscuits and water to give something. In most hotels when you arrive past 11pm you recieve nothing. The supermarket in our hotel is open till 8p.m. We apologize that you fell down a man hole and the maid left your door open, I am sorry you didn't ask for me when one of these incidents happened because in this way I could have apologized and make sure you left our resort with a satisfied feeling. We are sorry you found our evening entertainment funny but for all the wrong reasons and you didn't inform us about what you mean with all the wrong reasons because if guests give more specific feedback we can evaluate it and make the right decisions. For future guests who have an unsatisfied feeling in our club can recieve a questionnaire from me personally in the restaurant on Thurday night and if they didn't recieve one on Thursday night they can ask one to reception on Friday and hand it in the same day.

We purchased our holiday via TeleTextHolidays and this included flights in our deal.

Upon arrival at the airport, we took a coach to Sun Club El Dorado which took approximately 1 hour as it stopped at other resorts along the way. If you want to go to Palma via public transport, there is a bus stop just outside of the entrance which takes about an hour and a quarter to get to Palma.

BUNGALOW: Our bungalow was located very close to the Club, where the nightly entertainment would be held. The first night, it was quite terrible as the noise from the club goers lasted until well past 1am when I was trying to put our 2yr old to bed at 9! Otherwise, the location of the bungalow was quite convenient to the Club, the Dining Area, and the other pools. The beds were not very comfortable and I seemed to get an allergic reaction from the sheets. However, they had set up a cot for my daughter which was nice. The bathroom was small but it served its purpose. It would have been nice to have a TV and a kitchen (or at least a refrigerator, a kettle and a microwave) and air conditioning but this did not ruin our stay.

FOOD: The dining facilities were actually quite nice and the food offered was quite good. I did notice that many Brits ventured towards the typical fried foods but if you are open to trying new foods, the buffet did not disappoint. I would have liked more healthy vegetable options though. Snacks in the afternoon could have been expanded to more healthy options as well.

ENTERTAINMENT: The Kids Club during the day was good for my daughter as all she needed was a bit of a play and some colouring. The Kids entertainment at night was great - my daughter loved the singing and the dancing! My husband thought the adult entertainment afterwards was okay - good effort on the part of the team.

AMENITIES: The mini golf course and badminton court could definitely use an upgrade, and the gym equipment could be replaced. The swimming pools were lovely - however, the one right next to the horses' stables smelled a bit but was conveniently placed next to the bar.

STAFF: Many of the staff members were extremely helpful. I found the buffet and bar staff absolutely lovely and the entertainment team were also great.

OVERALL: You get what you pay for. We truly enjoyed our holiday but the rooms and amenities could use a few upgrades.

Room Tip: Make sure you choose a Superior Bungalow. Do not choose a standard room as these are incredibly tiny. Do not book a room too close to the club where the nightly entertainment is held, especially if you have young kids that go to bed early!

Firstly don't book standard room , its like a broom cupboard with no air con. We had to upgrade to a superior bungalow for size , however this had no air con , the kitchen had been removed . There was a poster on the bathroom door that was promoting what the bungalow was going to look like in 2014 ? Its 2014 now . The entertainment team were very good some of the other staff lacked customer service skills. Do not book a holiday at this resort during late June / early July as large groups of Spanish teenagers come for summer camp , they are up till 6 am partying on their balconies and have no respect for anyone or the resort . Finally if you are expecting a relaxing holiday during this period - be aware !!!!!!

Room Tip: Don't go in June or July

Thank you for your review.
Our standard rooms are 12m2 as advertised on our website and as notified to our contracted touroperators. None of our not renovated rooms have air conditioning, only guests who have clearly written on their travel documents that they have a renovated room will recieve a renovated room with air conditioning and television. This winter we have renovated 140 units , we apologize that the publicity of last year was still in your room. After your review we have taken measures to make sure all publicity about the renovation is taken down. It is true we have groups of spanish students in our hotel from 17/06/2014 till 30/06/2014 this is the only time we have so many spanish students in our hotel so future guest don't need to worry about this. We apologize for any inconvenience led by the presence of the students. We are happy you enjoyed our entertainment team. We apologize you had the impression that some of our staff lacked customer service skills because we can assure you and future guests that the whole team at the Sun Club Eldorado do their very best to provide good service to all our guests.
