The rooms key was not available upon check in and we had to leave our valuables in the room with out a key. we reported the air con not working and when we returned after dinner it was still not working. we then moved to the room next door which had no towels or toilet paper & so found ourselves running between rooms. Upon leaving at 7am there were no lights on upstairs and no people around except the maintenance guy that was sleeping on the couch.

My girlfriend and I decided to do Cape Town for my birthday. We couldn't have chosen a better place to accommodate us for our Cape Town first. The views, breakfast and staff were amazing. It is situated in close proximity to great attractions. Definitely recommend this to anyone looking for great service that makes you feel at home.

My husband and I stayed at the Grande Kloof for the first three nights of our honeymoon. We enjoyed our stay and found the reception and breakfast staff to be friendly and accommodating. There was a lovely view of the sea and Robben Island. We enjoyed our delicious breakfast every morning of scrambled egg, bacon and toast. The breakfast area was sunny and relaxing. There was parking for our rented car although it gets very full if you arrive back late at night. It was a little annoying to have to keep getting out our car and ringing the bell, but after a day or two we were given a remote, which was very helpful. Our bed was comfortable and clean. We found it a bit inconvenient that there was coffee and sugar in the room, but no milk, so my husband had to keep asking for a jug of milk from the kitchen. The coffee, sugar and toilet paper weren't replenished when the room was cleaned and my husband had to ask for more. There wasn't any body wash or soap in the bathroom, only hand wash and hand cream. We noticed the hand wash was in the shower when we arrived, probably from the previous guests. As a result, we had to go and buy some body wash and shampoo as we forgot to bring. The location was lovely, a short drive to the stadium and the Waterfront, as well as Camps Bay. Be careful as we ended up over the mountain in Kloof Street not Kloof Road when we tried to find the hotel. Overall we enjoyed staying at hotel and would recommend it.

Spent 2 nights here, it is well situated on one of the direct access roads to Table Mt. Quiet area and very secure. The staff are friendly and efficient, receptionists especially informative. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable with access to a large deck area. We had problems trying to adjust the aircon, which also blew directly on the bed. The bathroom was good, but prefer a shower to have a hose system as well as, or rather than, an overhead nozzle.
The jacuzzi was good but tended to cool quickly. Breakfast was adequate with most tastes catered for. Would recommend to friends and stay again.

Stayed here upon recommendation. The hotel and staff are great. They're relaxed which calms you down after a stressful arrival and they're willing to help wherever they can. We stayed 6 days instead of the two nights we planned upon. The rooms we're comfortable and clean with a minimalistic interior. I don't suggest staying in an open-planned room if you're a young couple as the lack of privacy in the bathroom (separated from the room with a large sandblasted glass wall) might be out of some people's comfort zone. Rooms are large and comfortable leading to a shared balcony. Drinks are nice and cheap too. The highlight was definitely the younger staff who was able to help us with things to do, where to go, how to get there and when places will be open. Really can't say anything bad about this hotel.

Room Tip: Make sure you're ok with a semi open-palnned room as the only thing separating the room from the...

Joined a group of friends/colleagues for a two night stay at the Grande Kloof Boutique Hotel. Found it really refreshing and friendly. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. We really made ourselves at home and these guys just couldn't do enough to be more helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to be in area. The location is a bit out the way, but not too bad. Kloof road is pretty much one of the main roads going through the area. I think with a little help someone will point you in the right direction and help you get to the V & A Waterfront or without too much effort. Feel happy giving these guys a the thumbs up. Will hopefully head that way again soon.
