My girlfriend and I stayed for 3 night for the last Eastern break. The Guest House and the people running it are absolutely lovely. The location is very good, this small village (Guiting Power) is close to many Cotswolds' amenities and attractions.

The owners are really friendly and helpful - we even had a pint together in the (very good) pub next to the Guest House.
During a rainy day, we could spend the afternoon reading next to the fireplace in the common room where also breakfast is served.

The room and the en-suite bathroom were big and very clean - nice point: really comfy and big bathrobes.

We stayed for 3 nights and had a fantastic stay. What a find! The location is beautiful: a really quiet village with excellent walks almost from the doorstep of the guesthouse. We walked to Guiting Wood on one circular walk and Naunton on another. The Hollow Bottom pub served lovely meals and was very friendly. The guesthouse itself was a real home-from-home. Chris and Joanne were excellent hosts and were on hand for advice about walks and other things to do. The room, non-ensuite, was clean, cosy and comfortable with an amazing bed which meant we slept like logs. The lack of bathroom wasn't an issue for us as the toilet is on the same landing as the room. The guesthouse has a lovely homely feel with beams, fresh flowers and an open fire downstairs. The breakfast was delicious and in a lovely breakfast room. This was our first visit to Guiting Power and the Cotswolds and it was a perfect place to stay. We shall be back!

I stayed in a beautifully appointed, nicely detailed and very clean traditional room with double bed and ensuite. A combination of the extremely comfortable bed and the really very quiet (and especially dark at night) room meant gave me an excellent night's sleep. In the morning my delicious full English Breakfast (chosen from a generous menu) was taken in front of a roaring log fire – a lovely touch. Hosts Jo and Chris were charming, attentive and helpful, pointing out local beauty spots and places of interest for me to visit. The Guest House is a genuinely old Cotswold stone building in this beautiful unspoilt village which encapsulates the quintessential Cotswolds and it's a wonderful base from which to explore one of Britain's most exquisite regions. Highly recommended!

We stayed two nights for the Cheltenham festival and had a lovely welcoming comfortable stay. Bed was very very comfortable, hosts very friendly, breakfast tasty, rooms a little 'busy' but all amenities provided. Would definitely recommend and return.

We stayed here over a few days and couldn't ask for more. Rooms were a great size and was warm and cosy. On arrival we were made to feel really welcome then did our usual ‘inspection’ of the room and found it very clean and tidy indeed. Tea and coffee amenities as you would expect and Joanne couldn't have done more for us. Beds were a good size and very comfortable and slept like a log. The breakfast was top notch and just the start needed to the day and again Joanne catered to our every need.

The house itself is a classic Cotswold style which looks just the part both inside and out. The village was nice and quiet which is why we chose to go to get away from all the hustle and bustle of life. Had a little walk around and it was postcard-esque. We also did a medium sized circular walk up to Guiting Wood and then along Windrush Way. We were going to go all the way to Naunton but weather started to turn worse so headed back and then popped into a pub. We will tackle the Naunton route a another day as we will definitely be going back!!

We have stayed here for the past 24 years and loved it...But with new owners feel it has lost a bit of its magic...We have always had tea and cake in the house in front of the fire which was a small but great gesture and a real welcome. This time round we were just quickly ushered to our room where we had to make our own tea which was a failure...the tea bags were only herbal so had to ask for regular ones....not enough milk so had to ask....the sugar sachets had got damp and were all solid. Not good enough.upon going out the supplied umbrella was also broken..the shower is either very hot..or very cold.Breakfast is now to be chosen the night before....how do I know what I want in the morning after a night out? Breakfast was very nice though although there is just too much piled on the plate. The village is beautiful and location is great for exploring. Nevertheless we shall not be returning but will spend our £95 somewhere else now...

Room Tip: 5 and 6 outside of the main house for real peace and quiet.

It was disappointing to see this review, when so many other long-standing guests have given us such favourable reviews since we have taken over the wonderful Guiting Guest House. The hospitality tray was a single unfortunate error, for which we apologised and was remedied immediately. The umbrella likewise. The bill was in fact £90. We welcome all our guests here, whether they have been coming for years or are enjoying their first stay, and we hope they will all enjoy a new magic we will bring to the Guest House.

Stayed here just before Christmas....was really lovely, very pretty quiet little village making you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. Guesthouse itself was fab, the room was lovely, clean and warm, the service from Joanne was fab and she cooked a lovely breakfast for us the following morning. If you're looking for a little break which is good value for money then look no further! I didn't want to leave!!!

Room Tip: King Size ensuite was gorgeous.
