A lovely country pub that we happened to chance on when we were travelling to Oxford. Myself and my husband had food there the one day and also the following day on the way back. The manager was polite and served us quickly. There was a lovely selection of foods and I had the ploughmans the first time and my husband had a Cajun chicken sandwich. We had Ham,egg and chips on the second visit the following day and my husband had one of their lovely pies. All I can say was I was so full up that I couldn't even fit a dessert in. The food was lovely, good selection of drinks. The only bad thing I can say about it is that finding the toilets could have been sign posted better. All in all a lovely pub with a nice friendly atmosphere. I would like to come back to stay in the Hotel part.

We had dinner here last night. The service was very good, a waitress gave up slate table mats and offered us drinks at the table. It was a pub but with a restaurant service!

There was a huge range of food on the menu, there was a whole page of specials and a whole menu book of pies (one of their specialities). We all
had difficulty in deciding what to choose.

The food was freshly made and when it arrived was elegantly presented as well as delicious. Highly recommend for a relaxing pub meal.

We stayed a week ago for one night. Very comfortable. Large cosy bed!! We did ask if we could stay a further night, but unfortunately they were fully booked. We had a lovely meal in their restaurant which was very good. Had nice breakfast. Had really nice time. Staff very friendly. Brought some pies to take home with us, would definitely recommend. Will be going back. Alan

Myself and husband came here for the weekend. We emailed before arrival to book a table for lunch and evening meal and the staff always replied to my emails which was a positive start. On arrival we were shown to our room by the manageress who was very wekcoming and we werent disappointed. The rooms are separate to the pub, around the back in an annexe. Nice and private with a small little garden and seating area. The room was nicely decorated and clean, and we were pleased with it. The food here is lovely and its a popular place so I was glad I had booked a table. If you download the Farmers Boy app, there are lots of offers on here and we used the one for £10 off food if you spend £25. No problems when you show the staff the app and we were asked to remind them of this reduction when we paid, we did this and it was very straight forward. The inside of the pub has a lovely welcoming feel and the staff were very friendly. The Manageress was very helpful and when we asked for wine glasses and an ice bucket to take back to our room in the evening nothing was to much trouble. The gardens at the Farmwrs Boy inn look lovely and we also had a nice walk locally, Its a nice quiet area and nice for a relaxing break. We tried one of the award winning piess in the evening, they were lovely and the Chips were gorgeous too! Breakfast was nice but the tea had gone a little cold as it was from a thermos flask on the bar. So my only small 2 negatives were the not very warn tea at breakfast and the tiles in our shower needed re-grouting but that really wasn't a big deal and didn't spoil our experience. Apart from those 2 minor things everything was perfect and I would recommend this place, also free WiFi that was simple to access was a bonus too!

Six of us Checked in here Friday 22nd August for a weekend with friends and what a great decision. We were greeted by Phil the owner and then Sally who checked us all in, the rooms are well appointed and comfortable with all the amenities required. We had booked dinner for both nights and were not disappointed the food was very good and plentiful. We ended up in the bar till late with Phil Amanda and the staff listening to some of our favourite music, we definitely will be back as it is so welcoming and all guests and diners are treated as friends.Well done all. We booked at the last minute using LateRooms.com, it looked really good online.
On arrival we were warmly greeted and shown to our room. It was snug but beautifully furnished with a very large, comfortable bed. We dined in the very cosy and atmospheric Inn where the staff were friendly and efficient. The menu was impressive and we were told of the FBI app which would give 10% off the food and staff helped me download it to my iPad. The food was amazing! Beautifully presented, piping hot and really tasty. I wished we were staying longer to try more dishes. After a very peaceful night, we had breakfast which was first class, the best cooked breakfast we had had for a long time. We left feeling we had found a real gem of a location. It exceeded our expectations and will be kept in our sat nav for future trips.
