Good hotel quiet good service. However if you are travelling south on the motorway obtain directions to hotel not easily assessible form the services on south bound carriage way especially in the dark! you should leave motorway at previous junction.

We stayed over on our way down to Cardiff, yes you are beside a motorway, but we had no disturbance from traffic noise, we could of done with directions to get back south bound but hey! We just went up to junction 7 and back . . . . . For the price this place is ideal for a stopover and I would certainly stop here again!

My first stay at a Days Inn as I stopped here by chance after driving all day. Was greeted by a friendly lady on reception and given all the necessary information about parking, accessing the southbound carriageway etc. The Hotel is one of the ones previously owned by Premiere Inn sold after withdrawing from motorway sites and it still has a lot of decor and features from that period but has been well maintained by the new owners. The bed was comfortable, the shower excellent and a good selection of restaurants next door in the services. As for the complaints on here about noise from the motorway might I tactfully suggest that if the muted sound of passing cars disturbs your sleep, don't stay on a motorway service station site.

This was an unplanned stopover, brought on by lengthy delays due to road works. We had a surprisingly comfortable and convenient one night's stay here. The bed was large and comfortable, and although the traffic noise could be heard from the motorway with the window open, it was not intrusive. Clean and functional.

Middle rating for one reason only - someone had smoked in our room. This was not appreciated after a 140 mile journey in the evening. However, the redeeming factor was that the staff member on duty soon allocated another room and helped in the move. Full marks for that! Stay was otherwise comfortable.

Room Tip: Do not be afraid to ask for another room if there is one available and your initial allocation is no...

Good: TV and workstation, pillows and duvet, towels, lighting and the coffee/tea facilities.
Bad: Hard mattresses, sticking door (room 42) not locking unless slammed or pulled, shower head pathetic as no adjustment (broken) and more or less single stream water, shower taps cannot be turned when soaped up, cold water tap in sink has sticking washer hence sudden gush of water that jumps out of sink.
Very Bad: Free WiFi in all rooms? Well, not for the two days we were there, excuse after excuse but no WiFi, and you have signs in three places at the entrance boasting Free WiFi! And even though it wasn't working the portable sign remained outside. I needed an internet connection and that is why I paid £55 over £35 so I was not very happy.

Ideal place to stay for our trip to Malvern, clean room, with hairdryer, kettle, electric fan, freeview TV,comfy beds, helpful and friendly staff, free parking, service area had plenty of options for breakfast,we settled for a bacon roll from McDonalds.Short cut through back of services to get onto A38 to Malvern and M5 south, which saves a lot of mileage, considering we were close to Motorway we never heard any traffic noise, which was surprising.
