“A gem in the walled town of Alcudia”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 May 2014

4 of us ( 2 couples ) have just stayed here for 4 nights. Rosi Speer and her husband, Sebastian, made us so welcome. The hotel (which was full - we had booked last December) is in a converted small mansion, which was Sebastian's home in his youth. It was converted to a small hotel with 6 rooms a few years ago. The rooms, as you might imagine, are spacious, and utterly comfortable. The bathrooms are superb, and mostly in marble. Breakfast is served in a delightful courtyard, as befits a mansion! The whole place is spacious, comfortable and welcoming. There is no restaurant but breakfast is wide ranging and lovely. Being in the middle of the old town of Alcudia, which has no traffic is a great relaxation and means that the nearest good restaurant is a whole 30 metres away!

Room Tip: Room 5 on the top floor has an amazing bathroom (3 rooms in one i.e. bathroom, shower room and wc/bi...

Excellent breakfast! The room was clean and nice. The staff was very friendly. The location of the hotel is in the centre of Alcudia. No noise from outside. It was a very nice stay in this hotel and in Alcudia!

We spent only one night at this beautiful hotel but wished we could have stayed longer. Small and welcoming, boutique style with very tasteful decor and very friendly hostess. We had a large room with comfortable bed, large bathroom and terrace over looking the enclosed courtyard. Breakfast was very good with freshly laid free range eggs, fresh fruit and meats and lovely 'baked that morning ' bread. Couldn't ask for more

Room Tip: I think most of the rooms have 4 posters , the one that we stayed in didn't but if this is your...

Excellent find. Small, quiet, private, one minute walk too the old town square for restaurants. Easy access to the North East of the Island. Rosi offered advice and pointed us in the direction of beaches etc away from the usual tourist trail. Would definitely return.

Room Tip: There are only 6 excellent doubles.Furnished in a traditional manner.

This was our second stay at San Jaume and I realised this time that it is Rosi who makes it so special. The house is wonderful anyway and being able to enjoy breakfast sitting out in the courtyard on a sunny morning makes a relaxing start to the day. However, it is Rosi who cares that her guests are comfortable and nothing is too much trouble; during your stay you become part of her wider extended family. Breakfast is whatever is good today in the market and the coffee is one of Rosi’s hidden secrets. A lot of guests return and it is easy to see why.

Ideally located this charming old family house has been refurbished into a small hotel.

If you like tradition that mixes with comfort and good taste, this is the place to stay.

Spacious rooms where daylight bungles in, with the birds singing all day long is charming.

The authenticity of this establishment is bluffing.

I highly recommend this place for anyone who is looking for a nice peaceful getaway!
