“Lovely”
Reviewed 10 July 2012

Lovely hotel, two outdoor pools, one indoor, spa, evening entertainment. We went all inclusive which was well worth the little bit extra, the food was good and varied each day,we only went for a four night stay, but,we had a lovely time. The only down side was the first Maris room we were given,it was a lovely room, but very near a busy road,so I couldnt sleep on the first night, the hotel had no problem with us moving to a room away from the road,we upgraded to a village room which was well worth the extra,I thoroughly recommend you ask for a room away from the road, whether you have a Maris room,or pay for the top suites,as even some of the suites are by the road and its very busy and noisy.I dont want to put anyone off because of this though, because once away from road,we were thoroughly relaxed and spoiled!

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from road!

Nice hotel. Really. Its nice.

Breakfast buffet was awesome. Everything you want. Contiental. Full English. European. Plenty of teas, good coffee, eggs, cereals. The lot.

The pool is superb. Its big so its on the "fresh" side of the temperature scale. Once you are in its lovely.

The hotel grounds, bar areas, rooms were immaculate and so clean.

Pool towels are included - so don't bother packing your own!!

We were half board so did breakfast and evening meal. The intersting twist on this hotel was the payment card. Every beer, meal, snack or ice cream you just produced your card and paid at the end. It waqs a money-less holiday! Helpfully some reciepts gave you a running total of your bill so far so you could budget.

There was a decent enough bar snack menu on the day time and we opted for that. You could however wander in to the lunch buffet, waft your card and that meant you paid for the evening buffet. But the cost of that was a very good €10 (or even less? can't remember).

The animation team were good fun. A bit basic, the entertainment wasn't exactly cruise-ship standard, but good fun. the love the kids gave to the kids club guys clearly showed they were doing a good job.

The only downside is they don't make anything at all of being by the sea. Everything points away from the sea and being on the beach is of no consequence to the design of the resort. Shame, its a beautiful bay and a nice location. OK the "beach" is tiny if at all and no-one swims there, but the restaurants could have had wonder ful views of the area.

Room Tip: Village Suites are well worth the upgrade.

This is an above average hotel. The rooms are spacious, there does appear to be a problem with Mosquitos though so we had to buy several plugs for our room. The outdoor pool was too cold to swim in, but they do have an indoor as well. The hotel has a good selection of food, and the restaurant is large and had quite a few highchairs which was great having an infant. The hotel has a free car park on a first come first serve basis, usually there was a space so wasnt a problem. They have a baby club which was well stocked and our daughter enjoyed a couple of hours their 1 day playing happily.

Just returned from 10 wonderfully relaxing days at Club Pollentia. This is a gem of a hotel located between Alcudia and Pollenca and opposite a small beach. The hotel is beautfully laid out very similar to American hotels we have stayed in with small two blocks dotted around well manicured gardens and ponds with gorgeous view to the rear overlooking a nature reserve with the mountains as a backdrop.

We stayed in a village room which was of a good size with a lovely large terrace. Rooms are a little dated and could do with coffee and tea making facilities, but generally we were very comfortable. There are two buffet restaurants and an a la carte for lunch. Do go for all inclusive as its worth every penny. Food was varied and generally of a good quality, and the staff were excellent.

There is a large lagoon style pool which never felt too busy and there were always plenty of sunbeds at any time of the day. The smaller pool is located near the Maris section of the hotel and was quieter. The beach on an afteroon was great with a lovely breeze coming off the sea which made the heat more bearable.

Car hire at the hotel is very reasonable and convenient.

The only downsides for us were the entertainment, which generally was only suitable for kids and was extremely amatuerish. I felt the animation team really needed some management and you did get the impression that they were simply going through the motions.

With regards to the staff, they were excellent with the exception of a few on receiption whose manner left alot to be desired. Christina however was fantastic. My stepdaughter was flying out to join us for a few days and when asked how much it would cost to put her in our room half board, we were given a price of 240.00 euros. On line we managed to get her a village room half board for the same price!!!!!

Desipte the above we would definitely return to this hotel. The gardens alone, and the feeling of privacy and exclusivity made it special for us.

Room Tip: We would have loved to move to Stella building but were told there were no rooms available - this bl...

1 Week Stay, Half Board in a Village Suite. This is a quick summary review.

Good Points:

1.Clean and tidy
2.Plenty of choice with regard to food at mealtimes
3.Well attended pool
4.Plenty of facilities on site (as long as you are prepared to pay for them)
5.Childrens entertainment on an evening
6. The type of person staying at the hotel are on the whole families and couples. No large groups of people on a mission to get drunk every night
7. The grounds of the hotel resort are very green and lovely to walk around on an evening

Bad Points:
There are many hidden extras for those not going full board. As we were out throughout the day with a small child , an all inclusive stay was not required as we would miss lunch, and weren't drinking unlimited wines and beers.

1.To use the room safe : 15 Euros
2.The restaurant would not provide a jug of tap water / water for children with our meals. We had to purchase 500ml bottles of MIneral Water at 2.05 euros a time
3. The food did vary in quality throughout the stay, and was sometimes not hot enough
3. Tennis, Golf,Cycling etc all available but at extra cost
4. Hotel beach is rubbish. All stones and across a busy road. Much nicer beaches at Port De Pollenta and Alcudia, but again you'll need transport to get there

Additional Points:

In my opinion, car hire is essential. The resort is quite isolated, and therefore you'd be looking at taxi / bus to get into Alcudia, Port De Pollenta and other towns. We used Hiper car rental and this was fine.

Room Tip: Village room more spacious than standard Some rooms closer to the road may be noisy

Love the layout of the resort, accomodation set in beautiful gardens, very quiet and peaceful. All Inclusive provided excellent value furnished by first class staff. Abundance of activities, free trips to local beaches 6 days a week. Excellent variety of food throughout the day served in a very friendly atmosphre. All in all a first class holiday.
