“Late July Family Holiday”
Reviewed 20 August 2014

We stayed at the Club Pollentia in the last week of July. All staff were polite and helpful. The room was spacious and had a patio on the ground floor leading out to well tended mature gardens and grass. The kids had separate single beds which made bed time less traumatic than the normal shared double bed. The sporting facilities were very good - for adults and children. The food was excellent with a wide choice of dishes that meant even the fussiest of eaters (my daughter) ate well. The main pool was excellent and water aerobics and water polo were good fun. There was entertainment every evening and the hotel team and kids club worked very hard to stage a variety of shows which were good fun (bear in mind they are not professionals). We will be booking again for 10 days next time. I got an eye infection whilst in the hotel and reception organised everything for me. I paid 90 euro (will get back from insurance) to get a doctor within an hour and the prescription was a 6 euro taxi ride away. You will get looked after if you ask. This is a busy hotel because it is very good.

Room Tip: Ground floor apartments have a patio rolling out to grass lawn. We were near reception so good acces...

We have just returned from a weeks holiday at the Club Pollentia Resort in Mallorca. It was excellent. From the moment we arrived we were impressed with the clean and well presented buildings and grounds. All the staff are very friendly and attentive. All requests are dealt with promptly and with a real commitment to making sure the customer receives excellent service.
Having read reviews we booked the Village Suites and were pleased. We spent one night in a Maris room and although very clean and functional we were glad we had paid a little extra. The Village Suites were spacious, with balconies and sun loungers. Each room also had a fridge, air conditioning, ceiling fan, pool towels, bags and complimentary shampoos, shower gel and body lotion. The beds were comfortable and larger than standard singles
There was plenty to do in Resort, even on the damp cloudy day we had mid week (an indoor pool, squash, table tennis etc.) and the local area. The public buses were cheap and punctual - making the visits to Pollensa beach and shops hassle free.
Meal times were excellent too. The buffet style catered for everyone every time - from those needing a gluten free diet, small children to just fussy eaters - I would find it hard to believe anyone would come away disappointed.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Club Pollentia. I am a fussy, hard to please mum of 3, who has at last found a place that we cannot wait to revisit.

We stayed at Pollentia Club in August for 1 week with our 2 year old daughter. This is a lovely hotel that really has it right for families. There were more sunbeds than guests so it was never a problem to get a bed. The restaurants seed to be open constantly, even serving lunch until 4pm, with a toddler that takes afternoon naps this was great for us. The food was plentiful and of a high standard. We didn't ever queue to get seated for dinner and there were always highchairs available. The drinks are all if a good standard for all inclusive and you can get ice cream and I've lollies all day. The service is fantastic and you are made to feel very welcome by all of the staff. The rooms were of a good standard. We stayed in the Maris rooms toward re back of the resort so they were lovely and quiet.

The mini disco was great for the kids. The beach opposite the hotel isn't great, it has stones and lots of seaweed but it's still very picturesque being opposite the sea. There is a bus stop opposite the hotel which will take you to puerto pollensa beach in just 10 mins for 1.60 euro, this beach is beautiful. There are plenty if activities at the hotel. We like high standard hotels and this hotel didn't let us down. We will return and would hesitate in recommending.

Excellent hotel for family. Really good food excellent service. Resort clean. I would really recommend this hotel for pool lovers. Beach is a bus ride away only 5 minutes to puerto pollensa or alcudia.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Maris room which sleeps 3 they had larger rooms available and villas that slept 6.

The plus side: wonderfully friendly and helpful staff, great range of activities, huge pools, good quality food, good value for money, some excellent entertainers and great tennis coach (Simon). The minuses: the buffet is very busy and noisy - not relaxing, the masses of sun beds are squashed together and the entertainment team have loud music blasting for many hours during the day and evening - great for young kids - but again not for those wishing to relax by the pool, the bathrooms need a bit of an upgrade. A comment: we have never seen so many tattoos or so many obese children in a hotel before, the grill buffet by the bar is definitely the place to have breakfast and lunch, a long way from the beach, good for wind surfers and kite surfers though as launch points just by hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms at rear quieter and south facing.

This was a beautiful hotel and pool. Period. The service was very ... whenever it happened ... Which is fine once you tune into that, but if you are hungry or in a rush, forget it. My main gripe, was that at night there was no choice re eating. You paid 25. € adult and12.5 € child for dinner or had no where to eat. If you like a full on evening meal, that's fine, the food is good and plentiful. However, if like me you eat well during the day and just want something light at night, then it's a complete rip off. Make sure you check out the all inclusive options when you arrive. Unfortunately my son took seriously ill on the second last day. Help was not to hand despite my calling the doctor from reception. I had two days of my son lying on their reception sofas with meds and thermometers on the table aka no doubt I had a sick child, but not a single offer of help. When I carried my nearly 8 year old to the front portico to await our shuttle tot the airport, I finally had customer services ask ... Is there anything I can do to help ? ...... really? How about giving us somewhere private to rest after we had to check out of our room early because you were too busy to realise how a variation to your bookings may need some extra support? Not impressed. I had tried on a couple of a casinos to explain to reception staff that my son was ill and I needed help, but they were too busy checking in .... If you want a resort type break, go for it, but if you are looking for anything or end up needing anything outside of the typical pitch up, lounge, pool, eat, repeat type break ... Think it through and check out some more reviews.
