Thanks to Antoni, his wife and all the staff for making our stay so good. The hotel and surrounding town are beautiful and peaceful (particularly in early April when we stayed). Our room was comfortable and homely, with a view of the courtyard, all of the communal spaces have original art on display and have been decorated in a style befitting the lovely traditional stone building. The breakfast was varied, with local delicacies, freshly squeezed orange juice and fresh coffee.
The hotel is right in the heart of old town and is well placed for restaurants and cafes, though Alcudia old town doesn't have many bars. It's possible to walk to Port Alcudia and other neighbouring resorts in less than half an hour. There is a bus stop near the hotel which links Alcudia to nearby local resorts, places of interest and to Palma, although we found that the timetables are mostly fictional.
This is an excellent hotel in every respect and even more so when the price is taken into consideration, highly recommended.

After searching the Port de Alcudia for a hotel room, without luck, we stopped for dinner and used the restaurant´s free WiFi to find a nearby room. We found Can Tem hotel, situated in Old Town Alcudia, and this reasonably-priced hotel was not far from the port. Finding the hotel on the net was easy, finding it within the Old Town was a challenge. The Old Town is car-free and parking is available outside the town´s stone walls. In fact, we were lucky enough to have a police escort show us the way to the nearest parking area.

A small discreet sign next to a large wooden door is the only "advertisement" Can Tem has to offer. Once inside, the reception area is BREATHTAKING! The friendly management allowed us to decide which of the two available rooms we would like to choose. Both were immaculate and decorated with superb taste. It was a tough decision, bu we took the upstairs room with the "Romeo and Juliet" inspired fake-balcony facing the courtyard.

We enjoyed our first day´s breakfast out on the courtyard before heading off for our hike on Cap de Pinar. It was no problem deciding to stay at Can Tem one more night so that we could relax after our hike and explore the Old Town.

We can highly recommend Can Tem hotel in Alcudia!

Room Tip: All the rooms in this hotel are individually decorated and are special in their own way. Two of the...

Stayed here for one night whilst visiting Alcudia and family. Very well positioned for the old town, and a very charming, clean and friendly hotel.
Not a large place, and located within the 'walls' of the old town, but has been decorated to a high standard with plenty of character and authentic features. Beds very comfortable, and bathroom large and well appointed.
We had the ground floor room with window out onto the street; not an issue however, although you do hear the locals passing by in the morning, but no problems during the night. The temperatures whilst there meant window was open all night, but slept well. There are A/C units in the rooms.
Breakfast in the hotel courtyard was lovely, and very relaxed. Buffet style, with pastries, fruit, cereal, juice and tea and coffee. Very low key, but wonderful.
No car parking at hotel due to location, but large (free - but small donations encouraged) is a 3 minute walk away opposite the church.
Alcudia old town good for strolling around, but we ate evening meal in the port, which is a 15 minute walk away. No problem walking it, and quite safe at night apparently.
Overall, would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a small, charming and very friendly stay.

We stayed in Alcudia for 6 nights and couldn't have wished for a more pleasant stay. Located perfectly within the walls of charming Alcudia old town. The owners - Toni + his wife have paid noticeable attention to detail and taken great care and consideration in the design + day to day running of the hotel.

Our room - Maristany, was extremely hard to fault. Sophisticated design, gracefully concise and simple, totally spotless.

Breakfast was set each morning in the picturesque courtyard. We filled up on a good selection of local pastries + produce before heading out to discover the many beautiful coves, caves + beaches on the island.

Our favourites were the El Gnomo caves located in Es Mal Pas, plus sandy Puerto Cocodrilo beach nearby. To the south a lovely clear water bay, surrounded by rocks and trees called Cala s'Almunia near Na Fontanella. Try to arrive here early to experience it at its best! Also park at Cala Figuera en route to Cap de Formentor and take the hike through the valley to Cala Murta, a secluded pebbled beach also surrounded by cliffs + perfect for anchoring boats!

Our favourite eats within Alcudia old town were S'arc, Satyricon and Sa Taverna (for their Mallorcan black pudding + egg tapas!)

Hotel Can Tem made our Mallorcan stay truly memorable - we would happily recommend to our friends and families!!

A cosy little hotel run by a charming couple. Great locations in the old town of Alcudia. Really nice rooms, the size of the bed and the bathroom gave our visit glamour. Would recommend to anyone wanting a good night sleep in beautiful surroundings.

Really nice opportunity. Great location inside the middle age town. Shower and bathtub available in the bedroom. Marvellous decoration. Too bad for the breakfast, it was missing the full continental breakfast. I will go again.
