Nice atmosphere. great addition to Parramatta. Great draft 'bier', and the wooden tray of schnapps was a classic!

“A must for beer-lovers! 1L stein glasses of German beer.”
Reviewed 24 July 2013 via mobile

An amazing atmosphere; set in an old church. It feels like you have been transported to Bavaria. The schnapps ordering procedure consists of the waitress ringing a bell as she carries your shots on a wooden rack to your table. Very festive & really adds to the atmosphere.

The food was average unfortunately, myself finding the schnitzel to be extremely fatty & the hand-cut chips to be nothing more than soggy, unseasoned Maccas fries, as opposed to authentic German style hand-cut chips.

This place is however, definitely worth the visit, if you are a beer drinker, or simply want an enjoyable night out with drinking company. 1L steins of beer make for a raucous evening & for a decent price too.

“A touch of Germany in Parramatta”
Reviewed 23 June 2013

Family meal and a few beers. The food was perfect and the beer was genuine draft from the centuries old breweries of Germany. The staff were friendly and cheerful and really helped with the night. I can strongly recommend a night of good food, great beer and fine staff.

“Biery good”
Reviewed 18 May 2013

Although this 'cafe' is in a central Parramatta location, it is far away enough from other restaurants/watering holes to be comfortable. The outdoor area is spacious and airy however the seating inside is somewhat cramped on church-like pews and very closely situated tables.
The burgers are fantastic and although I have yet to try it, the pork belly looks amazing.
Drinks are fairly average price but you won't think so after you've had 2 or 3 rounds while waiting for your food to finally come out.

“Top class service, great food, excellent beers all add up to a great spot”
Reviewed 22 April 2013

Visited for lunch with friends. Friendly and efficient service made the great food and beer even better. They have week day specials and 3 of us thoroughly enjoyed the Monday special lumberjack steak that was nicely spiced and very well cooked. The other meal was a very generous schnitzel that was also top class. This isn't a fine dining but a great casual venue. Enjoy
