The room was big and clean. The design of it was simple but favourable. Which was quite amazing with the low price. We stayed there for 4 nights and could really take a rest every night. But when it came to the location, I think it was bad for visiting Sydney, I had to spend a lot of time on transportation. Next time I would choose the Holiday Inn near the Darling Harbour.

Guest’s often choose Parramatta due to it’s central location as it is only approximately 23km away from Sydney CBD and is the gateway for greater Western Sydney and surrounds. The hotel itself is located only 5 minutes’ walk from the public transportation network and is easily accessible to major arterial routes making it convenient for guests to travel to their desired destination with ease.

We are confident that you will experience the same level of high service at Holiday Inn Darling Harbour that you experienced with us and please feel free to contact us if we can assist you with your future reservation.

The good: Beautiful modern lobby & restaurant; restaurant staff were excellent; room was modern & clean.
The bad: Reception staff could not have been less interested when I checked in; lack of handy power points (ie: next to the bed).
The ugly: The bathroom. Mouldy, cracked tiles, lack of working fan, and just not up to the same standard as the rest of the hotel. It's almost as if they decided to renovate the whole hotel but the leave the bathrooms in a sad 1980s state.

The room was very clean,advertised as recently renovated but bathroom was a little sad,not up to the same standard as the rest of the suite. The foyer and restaurant/bar area was lovely and inviting.Would of loved to have had our dinner there but not practical for us as had a 3yr old and newborn in tow.Position was great,very short walking distance to a Westfield mall and plenty eateries.

Had to book a hotel on Parramatta at short notice, first option was booked out entirely. holiday Inn seemed to be good location. Staff were friendly and courteous. Only room left had two queen beds and that was ok...wasn't a problem. Air con was quiet, as was the rest of the room and stay.
However the bathroom could do with a bit of a refurb...mouldy grout etc. No milk in the room was disappointing and mentioned at check out to staff. The clock was very bright, so we had to unplug it to darken the room rather than have to figure out how to darken the display and midnight when we went to bed.
So, it was an ok stay...a bit expensive for what was delivered.

I was charged $3,500 for a 3 night stay by mistake. I would understand if I were over charged once, but being over charged 3 times and giving me every excuse under the sun for not returning the money is pathetic!!!! It took 2 weeks for the money to be refunded which left me broke! I do not recommend this place, dirty bathrooms, bad food and nasty staff!

Thank you for your feedback. I am aware that our Front Office Manager investigated this matter and liaised with you.

The credit card used upon check in, for a standard pre authorisation transaction was different to the credit card provided for settlement on check out. As a result the pre authorisation amount (automatically released upon check out), unfortunately was not returned to the original credit card by the bank, within the normal time frame. The Hotel contacted the bank to facilitate this process in order for the amount to be returned to your card immediately. Our records indicate that this matter was resolved within 5 business days of your checkout. We further extend our apologies for any inconvenience experienced.

We also note your feedback on the hotel services and are disappointed that we did not meet your expectations on this occasion.

Stayed another two nights at this hotel. Always good and courteous service from reception. Rooms are generally modern, however on occasion my bathroom has contained a few cracked or chipped tiles. Nothing to worry about. If you want a drink upon entering your room you'll have to call Room Service or go to the bar. The room fridge is empty. A very comfortable bed and pillows help for a restful night. I have stayed on the western side of the hotel several times. No road noise from nearby streets. I have previously commented on the extra charge for room service meals and I really think that cost should simply be added to the meal price, which are a little on the high side anyway, rather than being shown as an additional cost on the menu. Perhaps management are trying to dissuade guests fro eating in their room? Overall, a good place to stay. Plenty of undercover parking. Will return on other business trips.

Room Tip: Rooms on eastern side are quieter, but don't worry if you are on western side.

Stayed the night at the Holiday Inn Parramatta,and was impressed .Walking into the large foyer there was an open fire burning lovely relaxing lounges to sit by the fire which was cosy as it was cold and windy outside.The front desk people were friendly yet professional,and offered us assistance in a number of areas. Our room was very clean,beds very comfortable and the choice of soft or firm pillows was just like home.the room was quiet even though we faced a busy road.Value for money would stay there again.

Room Tip: We were on the 6 th floor so had a great view.
