“Classy yet rustic chill out place”
Reviewed 12 September 2011

We stayed here for 3 nights to kick start our fortnight in the south of france and while we had high expectations following other reviews, we were more than delighted with our stay. The whole place has bags of charm, history with modern touches. Breakfast out on the patio is a real delight each morning with views of the hills and fresh pancakes, croissants and coffee. There are only a few rooms so you cross paths with other guests but you're pretty much able to do your own thing and drop your pace of life to one which matches the climate and mood of the place. We did spend time chatting to Karin and Sidney who are great hosts and made some great restaurant recommendations and arranged an excellent massage at the top of the garden. We'd definitely recommend this place and would hope to go back.

Room Tip: Apparently our room was the smallest, but it was really spacious with a little sofa and deep, dug ou...

What makes this place special is the host. Karin at every breakfast will help you to plan your visit at near by attractions and suggest restaurants to suit your preference and budget. The place and room is beautiful and romantic, and huge. Breakfast is amazing with almost everything homemade. Great experience.

We stayed at LaParare for three nights. We found our stay to be restful in a beautiful area of the Maritime Alps. Our room was spacious and well appointed. The bathroom, up a half dozen stairs was also spacious. Breakfast each morning was served on the patio. Each morning we were served bread, jams, yogurt and fresh fruit, coffee or tea. Every day there was a different hot dish served such as pancakes, french toast etc. Our hosts were charming, knowledgeable and helpful . Dinner was served one evening during our stay. It was a delicious, plentiful meal which all four couples who were guests attended and enjoyed. We took several short trips during our stay. We found the driving to be challenging but doable. If possible, we hope to return

We wanted a couple of days in Provence and found the most relaxing peaceful house. The hosts have got everything so right. Fantastic luxurious bathrooms, comfy beds, peace, tranquility and no TV....Bliss. Breakfast on en terrasse is pure Provence whilst if you've had a large lunch out and about, and want to stay in for the evening, there's a fridge for your cheese, jambon and pate you've bought from a market so you can sit out in the gardens with a bottle of wine and a bagette as the sun goes down and listen to the silence broken only by frogs, crickets and the odd owl. The hosts are attentive to any needs, yet seem to melt away into the fabric of the house. Delightful and fascinating couple. We'll most definitely go back. Not many places we say that about and really believe it.

Room Tip: All rooms seem delightful

We arrived at La Parare after a week spent around Provence, On our last day of holidays. Everything was just perfect, from the warm welcome received by the owners, to the amazing countryhouse where the chambre d'hotes is located, to the elegant and chic taste adopted in the room. The breakfast the day after has been elected the best in show for us, compared with all the others we enjoyed across Provence: coffee, croissants, cereals, yoghurt, home made bread, fresh juices and little tasty pancakes... We'll be surely back!

My fiancé and I left Australia's summer weather to enjoy the winter in France! We had hired a car from Paris and made our way down South of France to the beautiful Bed and Breakfast at La Parare. On arrival, we were warmly greeted by Sydney & Karin, the owners of La Parare. They know the area very well, and were kind to offer recommendations on places to visit and see.
*Please note: a car is highly recommended to see and do more. Also, we noticed two ways to get to La Parare, one for example, has approx 15 hair pin turns, also, the roads are quite narrow in some parts, especially if you're not used to it (like us Aussies) ;) Other than that, the views driving up or down the hill were picturesque! (see photo attached).
After a day of shopping in Nice, it was on the 2nd night, that my partner had already organised (with some help from Sydney) to set up the room we were staying in, a very romantic and unexpected proposal surprise. He knew how much I loved France and its culture and, topped it off in a beautiful location together, with a fireplace. It was simply perfect. :)
La Parare, makes you feel comfortable to relax and unwind. Our room had a selection of books on offer to sit back and read or, simply listen to some French music with a glass of wine and taking in the amazing views of old French houses throughout the mountains. We stayed for 3 nights, and visited surrounding cities including Monte Carlo, Cannes, and Nice (even drove across the border for lunch into Italy!).
Surrounded by tranquillity, amazing mountainous views, it was a relaxing and comfortable stay with homemade continental breakfast served daily. La Parare will definitely be on our list of places to come back to, the whole experience was exceptional, and one we'll never forget. Please enjoy our photos! :)

Unfortunately i can´t stayed more than 2 nights at the one of the best hotels in my life! The rooms are just miraculous! And the view its just another sight of the Côte de Azur, because the idea of the Côte de Azur is the beach but if you go here you will see just fantastic mountain top and villages that will stun you with their beauty.
But the best of this hotel is the most fun and very friendly couple! I dont want to tell it all but they can talk every known languange in the hole world! At least half
