Ken met us at the gate with a friendly hello and left us to look around and drink in the beautiful surrounds. Peaceful and oh so lovely. The gardens are magnificent. We also had a look around the gallery. Wow - Ken is a talented photographer. My favourite pics were of the chapel (photo taken through a window shaped as a cross - totally unique) and the trees that look like they're towering above you. Ken and his wife don't hover which is quite calming and you can look around as long as you want. Also Ken is willing to answer questions and has interesting stories. No cost involved. You only pay for what you purchase. And there's an appreciation box of which the money collected is shared among the garden staff for the effort they put into making the garden look as amazing as it does - well worth adding a few rands.
