“One of the best holiday homes”
Reviewed 30 September 2013 for a stay in September 2013

The House was spotlessly clean.
Everything had been well thought out, even down to a Pinafore for cooking, very well equipped.
Ideal location for getting around.
Would certainly book this accomodation again if we go back to this area,

Would certainly

“Excellent cottage”
Reviewed 1 September 2013 for a stay in August 2013

I stayed here in august 2013 with my wife and two teenage daughters. The cottage is situated in a lovely position with breath taking views over the coast. The cottage was spotlessly clean with the best-equipped kitchen with have ever seen in a holiday rental. I would defiantly recommend this cottage .

“Cosy Comfort on the Alabaster Coast near Dieppe”
Reviewed 2 October 2012 for a stay in September 2012

L'Appel du Large is a bright and cheerful 'gite' situated in Quiberville near the top of a hill with an ocean view from the large floor to ceiling bedroom windows. It is wonderfully equipped and furnished. We loved the little nautically themed accessories and the family paintings and hand knitted throws. This gite is ideally situated for exploring the beaches and villages along the Alabaster Coast as well as the beautiful inland countryside of the Caux and Bray regions of Normandy. Two small shops for every day items, the beach and several restaurants are within walking distance. More extensive shopping is available at the market town of Luneray about 8km away.

The very friendly hosts, Ira and Christine, live just two doors down the street and they were there to welcome us with a bottle of farm fresh cider when we arrived at L'Appel du Large. They were also very helpful with tips for restaurants, shopping and things to do and see. When a ferry strike necessitated a number of last minute changes to our travel plans they volunteered to make the telephone calls required to organize new transportation and accommodations.

Although L'Appel du Large has no WiFi it is available at the Tourist Office in the village even after hours by parking beside the building. WiFi is also available at one of the cafes in Luneray.

“Quiet, relaxing retreat, very well equipped”
Reviewed 17 September 2012 for a stay in September 2012

The property is situated only a short distance from Dieppe which makes it ideal for a quick relaxing break from the UK. There is a lovely, shady, secure garden at the front - ideal for children (or pets) even in very sunny weather - complete with screened area holding a BBQ and garden furniture . It is situated on a hilltop which gives lovely views of the sea and coast. The walk into Quiberville seafront is down a fairly steep hill but a stroll to the local village shop and bar in another direction we found easily manageable. The property is decorated in a bright style with a seaside theme. The main bedroom has a double bed and the second bedroom has bunk beds and a raised platform that sleeps two more on a mattress. The bathroom is accessed through the main bedroom and is of a very good size, including a bath and hand-held shower. The English-speaking owners were very welcoming and attentive to our needs - even finding us a conversion plug when we needed one! They have so obviously thought about what might be needed by a family/couple when self-catering and the range of kitchen and other equipment and appliances is very comprehensive.
