Stayed here for one night with a group of friends on a motorcycle holiday, we have all marked it a 'one to go back to'.
Great location 2 minute walk from the harbour, décor is 'old Spain' with a clear nautical feeling. Rooms were very well presented and comfortable, plenty of sitting areas around the hotel and a large breakfast room.
Good value with great roads in the surrounding area. No on site restaurant but the 'linked' restaurant Els Pescadors is on the harbour front and well worth a visit.

Room Tip: Take your room key with you at night, no access to reception to pick it up late at night. (Found a s...

The common areas (halls and lobbies) were spotlessly clean decorated in French provence style. Room small but perfectly adequate. Bed was super comfy but would prefer crispy sheets. No great views. Ask for rooms with balcony or terrace facing out into the small garden. In winter, room heats up quickly. Breakfast was generous. Recommend eating at the restuarant, Els Pescadors, which provide a nighttime menu for the guests. Excellent food at reasonable cost.

A stones throw away from the start of the Cami de Ronda (coastal footpath). Recommend doing the hike up to see the monastery, Sant Pere de Rodas (from Llanca almost 3 hours). Best to take El Cami de St Jaume route from Cami de Ronda to the village Santa Creu and up to the monastery. Remember first Sunday of each month, museums, monasteries, etc. are free.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a balcony or terrace

We stayed here as part of a 5 day walking holiday and stayed at a different hotel every night. Of the 5 that we stayed at, I would have to say that this one was easily the best. The signs at the hotel suggest that this is a 2 star establishment, but I would upgrade that to 3.

This hotel might not be for everyone (see photos), but if you like something a bit different, something with a certain style décor-wise with interesting furnishings then you might appreciate this place. What I also liked about it was that the place seemed quite loved and looked after.

So, first things first; our room was spacious enough and spotlessly clean. There was one of those very small baths in the bathroom that are probably just meant for showering only, but at a push you can squeeze in there and have a bath (of sorts).

There was also a little writing desk in there with quaint antique ornaments on. The Wi-Fi signal was also very good in this part of the hotel and we got a full strong signal (something you don’t get in the dining room). There are also shutters on the windows if you wanted total blackout sleeping conditions.

All the corridors up and down the hotel are furnished with unusual ornaments, tables and chests of drawers. This adds great character to the place and creates a lot of interest when wandering through the building. In the reception area there are several options if you fancied a sit down to read some of the books on offer or the newspapers and magazines. There are comfortable sitting room areas with comfy chairs and settee’s as well as upright chairs and another settee in front of a large TV if you wanted to watch the news.

The breakfast is taken in a large dining hall and there is a great choice of food on offer. Lots of fruit, bread, rolls, meats, cheeses, yoghurts, cereals, juices, teas and coffee. You won’t go hungry. After breakfast you can retire to a corner of the hotel and read a book or a newspaper and relax.

The location is also pretty good and you can be in the main part of the town in minutes. Overall, a good choice to make if you’re in this part of the world. If super contemporary is your thing, you might not like it. If you are looking for character and interest, this is the place to stay.

Room Tip: Ground floor rooms had a good Wi-Fi signal.

The hotel is conveniently located for all the facilities of Llanca, especially the marina and beach. The surrounding streets are somewhat narrow and one-way so drivers should be cautious. Parking for the hotel is very limited, a few spaces at the front and a few at the rear of the hotel, though after only one night at the back, the car was covered in bird droppings from the overhanging trees.
This said, the hotel reception area is very bright and attractively furnished. The staff are indeed very helpful and everything was explained in English. Our room was on the third floor (there is a small and cosy lift) and as other reviewers have rightly commented, a bit limited in space but spotless, quiet and with a modern, efficient bathroom. There was plenty of hot water, the towels were good quality and the complimentary toiletries a nice touch. There is a hairdryer but unless you have an hour or so to spare, use your own.
Wi-Fi was easy and free to access in the room, a code was provided at reception, as was a useful information pack about the town and surrounding areas.
Breakfast was the buffet variety with plenty of choice, including croissants, cereal and fresh fruit. The coffee was hot, tasty and plentiful, along with hot milk.
If you want to stay any length of time, then unpacking and storing clothes etc could be a bit limited but for a short stay then I would thoroughly recommend this hotel. With breakfast included, it seems good value at 65€ per room per night.

I see there have been some good reviews for this hotel. We were booked in as part of a walking tour. I think the walkig company books the cheapest rooms. So we had a terrible room below the reception level [05]. It was like a dungeon. No natural light and so small we couldn't move around with our 2 large bags in the room. The bathroom was very small. No tissues[ small thing but important to some]. The breakfast was adequate. The hotel is centrally located.
English was poor. Free WiFi.
If you want to stay here pay a little more and get a room above reception. Based on my experience I wouldn't go back. However others have had a better experience.

Room Tip: Definatel ask for a room with a view and natural light.

La Goleta is a small and rather quirky hotel situated near the port of Llanca. The staff are very friendly and eager to help, even providing ice for our own drinks on the little terrace. We weren't lucky enough to get Room 301 but you could easily seat two people outside and with a little organisation we got four! The breakfast was good with plenty of choice and very good croissants. The rooms are small but the bathroom was clean and modern with a large shower and plenty of hot water. Llanca, although not particularly picturesque, is a good place for visiting this area of the Costa Brava and the nearby beach at Griffeu is sandy with all amenities. La Goleta is definitely the sort of hotel we like to stay in and we would certainly recommend it to others.

Room Tip: If you can't get room 301 choose one with a balcony

We booked our 6 night stay to rediscover this part of the Costa Brava. We had a room on the third floor, nice and clean.
The beds however are to small for two persons and are poor quality. The showers were sometimes out of water and the hot water supply could be better.
The staff is very friendly and speaking spanish gives you an advantage. All the facilities from breakfast to dinner in the cooperating "els Pescadors" and lots of other stuff like towels, nearby swimmingpool etc. were good.
We had a wonderfull stay with beach and restaurants nearby and we would certainly recommend this hotel to other people. For price and possibilities it will be difficult to find a nice and cozy hotel like "La Goleta" is.
The price quality ratio is very good.
