Chez ania was immaculate and well set up. We enjoyed the whole village experience especially the L'Arte and Lard festival at Le Petit Pressigny. Other highlights were the chateau at Azay le Rideau, visiting Loches and the very good rstaurant La Promenade in Le Petit Pressigny. Our hosts Alex and Nicole made us feel very welcome for the whole of our two week stay. Ron and Lyn McCullagh.

Thank you Ron for taking the time to share your comments about your recent stay in early October, We are very pleased you enjoyed your stay, enough to extend you initial few nights to two weeks.

The 'L'Art et Lard' festival in le Petit Pressigny is an annual event and usually held on the second Sunday in October. The village square offers local produce including crafts such as pottery, jewellery, stone carving, decorative metalwork and local food such as cider, honey, walnut oil, breads, dairy products. But the highlight of this village fair for a visitor to the region is that local artists are invited to display their work for the day thoughout the village in residents gardens, courtyards and barns, a great chance to have a peak behind the usually closed doors & gates! Stone baked pizza is served from an old stone bread oven, a full lunch is available in the village hall.

Jacky Dallais' La Promenade restaurant is also located in Le Petit Pressigny and provides people with fine dining in a lovely country village setting - search in Trip Advisor for La Promenade le Petit Pressigny and you will find reviews.

Finally, Great to hear from you, I guess you must have made it down towards Toulouse by now, we hope your trip continues well for you both.

We've recently returned from a very relaxing week at Les Limournieres. It's perfectly equipped for families - we stayed with our 18 month old little girl and I could have just packed some clothes for her and nothing else, such was the level of attention to detail of all the things you need to make it a home from home: story books, toys, highchair, kids plastic crockery/cutlery, bibs, Kids DVD's, a CD of nursery rhymes for the car, swings, slide, trampoline, chickens, a bunny rabbit and CBeebies! Not only were our hosts, Alex and Nicole, welcoming but they were full of advice of where to visit and provided an excellent meal on the night we arrived. The accommodation was perfectly sized, well equipped and very clean. We highly recommend this place if you're after a relaxing, family friendly stay in a beautiful part of the world.

Thank you for your comments and taking time to make them as I know you were returning to a busy time ahead back in London!

We are pleased you found our cottage at les Limornieres offered you adequate space, clean & well equipped for your whole family.

This part of Loire Valley countryside is quiet, beautiful and relaxing so we are very glad you enjoyed your stay and left refreshed.

The cottages are located 3km from the nearest village via a quiet lane. We offer bikes for guests to borrow, perfect for building up an appetite before the mid morning coffee and croissant at the local village bar!

For those with a little more energy the quite lanes & farm tracks providing walkers, runners & cyclists lots of circular routes to the village or further afield to anyone of our neighbouring villages. All offer perfect picnic spots, private chateaux to glimpse or public ones visit, rivers, forests, lakes, filled with wildlife, all set in gentle rolling countryside dotted with traditional stone farms, caves housing & more grand country houses.

Alex and Nicole made us feel so welcome - they did so much to make sure we felt at home and the cottage was very comfortable. The big trampoline was a bonus for the kids as well! Les Limournieres was also an excellent location for exploring the area and the local towns are very pretty. Have a look at the 'cave' houses as you drive up the road - very interesting.

Great location, peaceful and beautiful. The cottage was attractive and well equipped. Our hosts, Alex and Nicole, were very welcoming and their assistance was invaluable when we unfortunately had to access the French medical system.

We have had a most successful family holiday in this beautiful peaceful spot. Our children loved the freedom of the safe playground area and enjoyed learning from our hosts' daugthers how to handle the chickens and the rabbit. We had great recommendations from the passionate and well informed hosts, Alex and Nicole, who provided us with everything we could possibly have needed. The accomodation was presented to a very high standard of cleanliness and contained convenient extras such as dvds, games, books, maps, leaflets, etc. The location was ideal, close to a lovely michelin starred restaurant as well as to several good value authentic bistros, not to mention all the lovely day trips that can be enjoyed within less than one hour's drive. We enjoyed bbq's and dining in the comunal barn in lovely warm evenings. We stayed for one week only, and left wishing we had another week to enjoy the wonders of Les Limornieres.

We stayed for 3 nights in the 'Noix' cottage at Les Limornieres and I had a wonderful time. Alex and Nicole are lovely hosts and were there to welcome us when we arrived after a rather stressful journey! The welcome snacks/drink were much needed!

We had food cooked by them on the first night which was fantastic. It was brought to our cottage and we ate it outside in the lovely garden.

We are a family of 5 and would probably have booked the larger accommodation (Saule) had it been available when we booked. However we felt that Noix was perfect for us. It had 2 good-sized bedrooms upstairs. The 3 boys (3,5,& 7) shared a large room and it had toys and books and kept them amused for ages. The room has 2 beds and Nicole put a campbed in the middle. It was not cramped, infact they loved all the floorspace to play with their toys!

Downstairs there was a table suitable for 4 to eat at however we were outside most of the time so it wasn't a problem. The living area was great and the boys enjoyed watching the selection of DVD's before bedtime whist my husband and I enjoyed a glass or 2 of wine sat outside! The outside area was lovely, the boys greatly enjoyed the swings, trampoline and various things in the barn.

Nicole and Alex have created a wonderful place here. They are very friendly and helpful - especially when we had car problems and Nicola made some phone calls for us.

The area was really great and we will visit again.
